Ealing and acton, any mums out there?

Are there any mums out there in this part of town who have also found it hard to get to know other mums in area and just want to meet a few others for a coffee now and again, a chat and a laugh or two?

I'm going to get the E3 too and haven't been there before either

bluebear · 22/07/2004 20:58

I think I need the E3 too - be even stranger if we're neighbours!

alison222 · 22/07/2004 21:25

Coming from Northfields/Uxbridge road direction

If you get off the E3 at the stop after it has gone under the railway bridge on Greenford Avenue, then continue in the same direction as the bus until you get to the traffic lights. There is an Adams estate agents on one corner and across the road is a cafe and I think? a funeral directors?.
Turn left into Cookoo lane and follow the road along to a triangle junction in the road level with the golf course. Bear right into Church road and follow the road down until you get to the very end by the church. The bunny park is just in front of you. AKA Brent lodge park
Its not big enough to get lost in so you should all find the cafe and the playground next to it by following the path into the park with no problem assuming you get to the park.

Yingers re the other dates, I'm on holiday the 15th Aug but don't know what I'm doing next Saturday yet (31st)

LittleMissScatterbrain · 26/07/2004 11:44

Arrghh! Sorry girls.. I now can't make the 28th! I thought ds' music class finished last Wed. but we've actually got one more this Wed. and as they're pre-paid we'd best go. It should finish at 12:30 so depending on how long you think you'll be at the park we can come down later. It will take me about 30mins or so to get there though.

What do you think? How long will people stay? Could be there by 1:30pm.. [not knowing what the park is like I'm not sure how 'entertaining' it is for the little ones]

Thomcat · 26/07/2004 12:39

I'd love to but I work all week except Fridays

unicorn · 26/07/2004 12:48

anybody know of anymore local events of interest this holiday?

yingers74 · 26/07/2004 13:31

Unicorn,

There will be an event called the London Mela on 15th August which should have kiddies entertainment. It takes place in Gunnersbury Park. You could also take a look at the ealing website.
