My parents moved down to Bexhill around 5 years ago. I'm not in the area though but we do visit fairly regularly.

I used to live in Hastings and 2 old school friends still do. They both have under 2s. Have you found many things to do with your baby? I could ask them what they do.

I spoke to my friend on Sunday but Mumsnet was down! She goes to a few mother and baby/toddler groups, all in church halls, sometimes they dont run outside school terms though. You'd have to look at your nearest churches though. She liked one between Ore and the Old Town but I didn't catch the name, sorry.

She also said that Surestart run a few things in the town. They have two different areas but they are open to all. At the moment they are running summer stuff, they had lots of activities at the museum and then at another location another week. She also said they run a good toy library with great toys. I found this info (I was bored at work!)

She goes to a nursery rhyme thing at Concordia Hall in Church Road in St Leonards on a Tuesday that she says is good. She also goes swimming and goes to Clambers, which I think is free to under ones.

She has made lots of friends so I think people are quite friendly at these place.

Is Jungle Tumble still running? I used to take my nephew to that in the old town.

Hope you find something good
