had it got a main entrance? as ive never been to calderstones park before!!

LedodgyCheapEasterEggsAreASin · 28/03/2007 09:36

I think the best bet would be to meet outside the cafe.

LedodgyCheapEasterEggsAreASin · 28/03/2007 09:37

That way if you go through the main enterance (think it's harthill road) you just follow the path in a straight line and you're there.

stoppinattwo · 29/03/2007 12:24

Ther is also a huge play area not too far from the cafe, so if you get there early you can see the cafe from the play area soI would say wander betwwen the two??

ohhhhhh i may bring my face paints, whats the weather gonna be like...........glorious i hope

Ok, so because I'm so disorganised, I need lots of warning of what to bring. Are we going to delegate or should we all just bring extras of what we know our DCs like, to share around?

I, of course, will be eating nothing because I am on a diet...grrr! Well, maybe a bit of grass or lettuce or something!

stoppinattwo · 02/04/2007 17:24

there should be planty of grass Jammy tho quite why you are dieting i have no idea

i think if we bring something we each know our own will like. plus something fun to do. C is bringing a footie ofcourse, but M may bring her colouring stuff etc etc. would that be easier???

JaamyBunny · 02/04/2007 17:51

Yeah, something to keep them occupies while we have a good old chin wag - sounds good to me.

Browny · 02/04/2007 22:40

Hiya, sorry I've been very quiet but that stupid, nasty, stubborn virus refused to be deleted.. hopefully it has been vaporised now by my very clever brother. Just to warn you all though, it came through our msn as a link to click, disguised as something to do with msn, the virus was called Voodu.

Anyway, I'll bring sausage rolls and rolls with chicken and cheese on, I won't be able to do the drinks as I'll be walking so won't be able to carry them. Looking forward to seeing you all next week . Oh, think my lot are planning on playing footy too!

Nemo2007 · 03/04/2007 22:50

I will be there with the children and also my cousin who is 11 as he is over from Ireland[came for the funeral]

Browny · 03/04/2007 23:09

Leanderlovesminieggs · 04/04/2007 09:51

Hi I will be there will ds and dd, shall i just bring normal picnic food but extra stuff, also is the carpark far from where we will be meeting so i can bring some toys for dd or i will spend all afternoon chasing her around the park?

Nemo2007 · 04/04/2007 12:55

Leander carpark is 5-10min walk to play area depending on how fast the kids walk!!!

stoppinattwo · 04/04/2007 17:25

ohhhh cooolllll loads are coming

will bring swaps browny, no problem

OP posts:
JaamyBunny · 04/04/2007 17:47

We'er all coming - me and 2 DDs. Are we swapping anything else, or just children????

Browny · 04/04/2007 18:03

I'll try and fit a picnic blanket onto the pram too, dd2 wants to bring the dog.... er... I don't think so, I'm planning on watching the kids play, not running around Calderstones calling the dog!

Browny · 04/04/2007 18:05

Oh, Jammy, I posted on your camping thread last night x

BigCremeEggs · 04/04/2007 18:09

where is the carpark and welcome back browny!!

did ya get my text from the other nite?

Browny · 04/04/2007 18:14

Biglips, Hi!

Well, I might have got your text, but I can't find my phone, ds2 said he was talking to his Uncle and now I can't find it

I don't know the name of the road where we usually go in (the park has a few entrances), you could always kerb crawl me and the kids all the way, then you won't get lost!, sorry to be of absolutely no use at all!

stoppinattwo · 04/04/2007 20:17

ok have found a map, there is a carpark on Yew Tree Road or calderstones road

Browny · 05/04/2007 11:05

Biglips, we are meeting at the cafe/swings, there's only one cafe/swing area. The car park we use is on Yew Tree Road and then it's a very short walk to the cafe.

Would you please do me a favour? I can't find the thread about the shoes from Pinkchampagne anywhere, would you please tell her that I got two pairs in Marks and Spencers for only £1 each, yes £1!!!! so I could you please tell her "sorry" I won't need her's anymore. Thanks B.L. . You've got me wondering what you've got to show us all .

BigCremeEggs · 05/04/2007 11:12

ok. and hee hee...wait till i show to everyone.
