Do you like the idea of soho? I figure the real cost is drinks so might be better to stay out of neighborhoods like Notting Hill, Knightsbridge, Mayfair, etc.

Tortington · 27/02/2007 11:34

yeah!

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 11:38

What about Wgamama in Soho?

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 11:38

Or did you have your hear set on pizza? Shold the guest of honour choose?

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 11:39

custy, can you e-mail me at eleusis at hotmail co uk to discuss some other stuff that I don't want to type on here (so the guest of honour won't know what we are up to).

quokka · 27/02/2007 11:51

what about belgos in covent garden?

quokka · 27/02/2007 11:58

it can be really cheap, and have lots of beer to choose from have really big tables - have a look here

AnguaVonUberwald · 27/02/2007 11:58

You are all so wonderful. Central london sounds perfect to me, as it sounds easiest for everyone.

really happy to eat anywhere {smile]

quokka · 27/02/2007 12:04

Congrats AnguaVonUberwald, look forward to meeting you! Just found their website so try this link

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/02/2007 12:26

Pizza express is always fine - its the company at the end of the day, isnt it?

I dont know yet if I can - I am out this weekend (3rd march), then, the the 17th March is my birthday and I hope to do something for that. I dont know if i can afford to go out 3 weeks in a row, but, I will certainly see what I can do - it sounds like it'll be fun.

Custy, you are so thoughtful.

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 12:32

Awesome, are you coming then, Quokka?

Belgo is fine with me too. Yummy mussels.

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 17:08

So, is it Belgo, Wagamama, or pizza? You decide Angua. It is your party. Which do you prefer.

AnguaVonUberwald · 27/02/2007 19:06

Well ladies - the main vote seems to be for pizza.

How about pizza express?

covent garden

Or

soho

The convent garden one might be easier to get into, as the soho one is connected to a Jazz club - so could get very busy on a saturday night.

Either are fine with me.

Gingerbear · 27/02/2007 20:56

I got an email from Custy about this thread. I am a little bit too pregnant to make the trip from Yorkshire, but I hope you all have a great time.

I once went on a hen weekend to Newquay. We went for an Italian meal, got pissed on cheap chianti and pulled some surfer dudes in a club...Happy days -Enjoy!!

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 21:35

"pulled some surfer dudes"??? Is that how got to your current state?

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 21:40

Angua, if I can be so bold and we all know I can it would be helpful if you would fill out a profile since we don't really know you.

And I suppose you don't really know me either, so here are a few tid bits:

I am American (and one of only three Republicans on this website)
I live outside of London (Sunbury) and work in the oil industry.
I love a good party (hence I've signed up for this one in spite of the fact that I don't know you -- no one should have to get married without a proper hen night!)
I am married with two kids (almost 2 and almost 4). My DH works away all week. We have a live in nanny and will be looking for a new one in July.
Oh, and I hate bloody Gordon Brown. Creep!

So, come on, we can't buy suitably humiliating presents if you don't tell us a bit about yourself. Oh, and a bit about hubby to be would also be useful.

AnguaVonUberwald · 27/02/2007 22:18

Elusis

Have filled in profile, but presents honestly not necessary. The hen party is present enough.

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 22:38

Ah, you left IT for civil service. Are you crazy? What does your DP do?

foxinsocks · 28/02/2007 12:33

Hi Angua, apols for not seeing this sooner!

Unfortunately, I can't make that Saturday (dh works weekends ggrr) but I'm really pleased you'll be having a party!

You have exactly the same age gap between your dh and you as I do with mine (not that this is terribly interesting!).

Ele - you get great benefits with most civil service jobs.

OMG, is Jura coming? We finally meet!

The only thing that would shock me more is if CountessDracula showed up.

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 10:31

So, pizza express in covent garden... Say 7:00? Can someone else book it please? (I don't like to sit on the phone planning meet-ups at work as it is potentially a bad career move)

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 13:31

bump

AnguaVonUberwald · 01/03/2007 18:31

Is everyone agreed on that? Happy to go ahead and book it if you are. Just let me know.
