This sounds like 1pm by the padling pool for a picnic, unless it is horrid weather...the cafe in Brockwell isn't as nice as Dulwich, but we'd just cope I suppose!
The paddling pool is sort of directly over the other side of the hill from Whippersnappers. If you don't want to struggle over the hill with babies, bags etc, the road that leads into the park from the other side, nearest ther playground, is probably nearest. I'll check what it's called.
New thought: the cafe at the Lido may well be open...I'll do some research and post over next few days or Monday.

Would that timing be ok for you Twiglett...sounds like a bit of a dash.
And SAHMumster - can you make it then?

Latest research: When I went past at the w/e the paddling pool was drained...but probably just for a scrub. The Lido cafe wasn't open either, but it was cold and raining.
What if we met at 10 - then Twiglett could stay for longer?
What does everyone think re timing and venue?

Couldn't stay for long if we met at 10, as I have to pick DS2 up from Nursery at 11.30.

Do we need to change the time/venue? Who's actually coming? I don't mind where we meet TBH, as I'm driving anyway.

Can I just use this thread to plug our Summer Fun Fair at school? Good food, lovely authentic Greek kebabs for £3.50, dancing, stalls and bouncy castles - loads of fun.

Thanks Blu, getting a bit worried about the weather now though. I organised a huge inflatable slide thing and I'm going to have a bit of grovelling to do if it blows away with half the kids on it! Although the parents might appreciate the peace and quiet
