its bin way too long since our last meet. we always have a good time. lets go somewhere where the wine flows.

so calling you lot from brighton and surrounding areas. and even you lot from london - its only a rain ride away.

venue suggestions please - or i will book another curry place!

I can recommend Jim Thompson's above the Sealife centre as a fun place for a gaggle - nice oriental/thai.
Or for the true Brighton experience The Regency restaurant opposite the West Pier is hard to beat - really great fish/steaks etc.
How about drinks at the Hotel du Vin to start your evening off?

Tortington · 21/06/2004 06:24

thanks treacle. we might look them up on our pub crawl ermmm i mean nice evening out.

depending where your hotel is i think meeting htere is a good idea. let us know the details when you have them

some other ideas for reasonably priced restaurants - Donatello and Pinnochios - v good value Italian. They do set menus around 6 or 7 quid. Good places for meeting up are Ha Ha bar or between 6 - 7 pm it's happy hour on cocktails at Old Orleans bar(or so i've heard.... ), and the food upstairs there isn't too bad. Enjoy!

Agree that Hotel Du Vin is wonderful, but drinks there are def not cheap.

noddy5 · 21/06/2004 20:32

Ha Has is good for a meet but is v busy fridays so we should get there early

Cam · 24/06/2004 15:52

I cannot come on 25th as the aforementioned brother's party is in Wiltshire.

noddy5 · 24/06/2004 16:00

Any chance of changing the date to August as we are moving and are in chaos!

noddy5 · 24/06/2004 16:10

or later in July?

Tortington · 26/06/2004 04:20

are we leaving it til july? llast two weeks in july are my preference -at the ha har bar - sounds fun.

we are back to sorting a date then. noddy can you book the place when we get numbers and a date?

hope to get drunk with you all soon

OK, here's a suggestion. Can anyone do Thursday 29th? I could leap on the Thameslink straight from work.

MABS · 22/07/2004 06:56

well done Dannie - can anyone do it??? I'm gonna have to say it'll be a last minute decision for me - made redundant yesterday with all of my colleagues. Loved my job and it was TOTAL shock. Hey Ho xx

Tortington · 22/07/2004 11:44

thursday is not a good day for me am afraid, a friday or sat would be best so idont have work the next day

OP posts:
Cam · 22/07/2004 11:45

Thurs 29 a strong possibility for me; but Mabs sorry to hear that. Has the company folded or something?

Cam · 22/07/2004 11:49

Oh. I posted at the same time as you Custy. Maybe it would be best to go back to a weekend lunch date (I can only do Sundays though) as easier for anyone coming from London to get back.

MABS · 23/07/2004 18:12

Thanks Girls - company has been taken over by competitor and don't need 2 head offices. Their own H/O is in Wales so just a bit too far to commute!!

Cam · 25/07/2004 20:29

Are you going to look for work elsewhere or will the competitor have any vacancies?
