ok.
Who is up for this one?
Is Whacky at Lawnswood arms any good to anyone? anytime from 12.30

I'm a bit pushed for this one now as I have a luncheon engagement with my step-dad (although could rearrange, but I am already drooling at the prospect of going to Little Tokyo again) and then a meeting at 4 or so.

However, the Wacky is a good choice for betty, surely no danger of encountering the loop out there!

spiker · 10/01/2007 12:52

I'll be coming. A bit later though, more like 1.30.

spiker · 10/01/2007 12:52

oooohhhh little tokyo....

auntymandy · 10/01/2007 16:00

ok Spiker..see you there...anyone else?

OP posts:
auntymandy · 10/01/2007 16:31

OP posts:
bettythebuilder · 10/01/2007 22:31

I'll be there!
Dd finishes nursery at 12, so a quick lunch and we'll make our way over, so it'll probably be about 1.30 for us,too.

auntymandy · 11/01/2007 09:48

give her a sandwich in the car!!!

OP posts:
bettythebuilder · 11/01/2007 10:29

last night I nearly wrote that I'd give her a sausage roll in her car seat, but I didn't want you all to have to find excuses not to meet up with me

auntymandy · 11/01/2007 10:41

not a sausage roll..a sandwich is ok, but a sausage roll!!! ;)

OP posts:
auntymandy · 11/01/2007 18:02

is that it? ok you 2 I will have ds with me who is 2. I am the one with short hair looking old and tired and by then 17 weeks pregnant but look about 25wks!!!
What about you?

we probably all know each other already, wouldnt that be funny?!!!

OP posts:
tribpot · 12/01/2007 19:28

auntymandy surely you should pass on your midwife's description of you as "radiant and young-looking" (Although now the others may not want to meet you). And you certainly don't look 25 weeks pregnant!

Having completely stuffed up the arrangements for the next gathering, I will try and come along with ds if he wakes at a reasonable hour and I get back from scrummy Japanese food in time.

auntymandy · 12/01/2007 20:32

bring a doggy bag!!! oh and you should say you dont look your age!!!;)

spiker · 16/01/2007 00:15

Is this Lawnswood arms on otley road? haven't been there but drove past on the way to golden acre park. Can you take buggies in? DS2 will probably want to nap.

I'm short with long browny-red hair. Probably in a tweedy coat. I'll have my nearly 3yo DS1 and my 10mo DS2 with me. I have a suspicion I will not get any further than the car park as they will both conk out on the drive there.

C'mon tribpot...and bring some of those veggie gyoza with you.

auntymandy · 17/01/2007 11:24

right folks..who is a defo? I am afraid I will have to cry off unless I can really be persauded otherwise!
I have just got out of bed after 3 days of ..flu..it must have been the male strain as I really was totally out of it, never felt so ill. Still coughing and worn out, but up. So an afternoon in Whacky isnt really pulling me, but will go if I know there will be a show of people!!

OP posts:
auntymandy · 17/01/2007 11:25

oh it is on the way to Golden Acre yes!
How local are you?

OP posts:
tribpot · 17/01/2007 11:43

Sorry - as auntymandy's been ill I've had to take time off work, so was going to have to cry off anyway but have just had a meeting request for 3 o'clock, not sure I can phone conference from inside Wacky

auntymandy · 17/01/2007 18:39

wont get on pc again to see if anyone is going, so I am going to say sorry and not turn up!!
Will try my best for feb!
Have fun if you go!
off to bed now!

OP posts:
spiker · 17/01/2007 23:22

betty are you up for it? it's sounding like a raincheck...

bettythebuilder · 18/01/2007 00:25

I know what you mean spiker...maybe we could try again when more people can make it.

auntymandy · 18/01/2007 17:18

so did anyone go?

OP posts:
auntymandy · 18/01/2007 17:18

really sorry I had to cry off

OP posts:
bettythebuilder · 18/01/2007 18:06

No, I didn't go - took the met office advice not to make any unnecessary journeys crickey, it's been wild here.

spiker · 18/01/2007 19:16

I didn't go. Partly due to weather (took buggy out this morning and scared myself silly) and partly because DH was diagnosed with chickenpox whilst I was out! So he needs his loving DW on hand. I suspect DS2 might be cooking it, although he's too young really, but he's really not himself.

I can't make the 23 Feb one, as I can't do Friday mornings.

bettythebuilder · 18/01/2007 20:14

Oh no, spiker - a Dh with Chicken Pox, what a nightmare.
