how strange it this?
Got home last night to be told by my sitter that the nursery is shutting in 6 weeks and we're being told officially on Saturday. Glad to have a day today to try and get a place sorted for dd before all the other parents get to know. (selfish I know Stayed up until 2am looking at reports etc and found a new one, very near to work with an excellent report. Phoned them at 7.30 and went to see it at 11. Huge place and not as homely as where dd is now but very nice but £9 a day more , but never mind.
So, I decided to book a place. The other one I went to see didn't have the days I needed and i've see alot of others. dd disappeared to play with the other children for almost an hour when we got there and wasn't at all bothered that I wasn't around
aaaannnnyyyywwwwaaayyyy. Just had a call from dd's current nursery to tell me the news and that I was the 1st to know as i'm on my own etc etc. She said she'd been in discussion with the nursery i've just booked dd into to take the children and hopefully alot of the staff. How spooky is that?
Also, I have 2 weeks hols booked which coi-incide with the nursery closing so with that and the weeks holiday we're entitles too (which we're not at the current one) All in all, the amount I save over the year brings it down by £9 oer day! lol. Don't suppose many are interested but I thought i'd tell you lot anyway!
I really hope the staff get jobs and that a lot of dd's friends come to the new onw, that would be sooooo lovely.
Also, they do Jo Jingles too and it's cheaper there than when I took her so she'll love that. All's well that ends well for once. Still got a bloody hangover though
