Yup. I take it your computer is all up and running then, dearie?

Davros · 27/08/2004 19:23

I'm actually in Belsize Park, although the postal address is Hampstead I'm crap at doing things though unless quite spontaneous and nearby.... I also have 9 yr old DS with autism and, if he's not needing me then he's stopping me sleeping (DD is fine). Depending on where you are how about meeting at Starubuck in South End Green or Englands Lane one day next week? Obv not Monday as bank hol, TUes OK for me, Weds and Fri OK if first thing and Thurs impossible! My best times are either 9.30/10.00am or 1.30/2.00pm.

heron · 27/08/2004 21:24

Can you do Weds at 10:30? DS naps until 10 and I need some travel time. I think South End Green is better for me - if that's the one near the Belsize Park tube station? Maomao: can you make it too?

Davros · 29/08/2004 16:02

Would you believe, my DD sleeps FROM about 10.30am!! We're destined never to meet........ The other option is that you could come here and have a cuppa, what do you think? I live VERY close to Belsize Park tube (Southend Green is different BTW, down towards the Heath past the Royal Free). I'll phone Maomao if we don't hear from her. Shall we CAT in the next day or so before Weds? I'll also see if Chicpea is around and anyone else who reads this who wants to get together.....

heron · 31/08/2004 13:07

I can meet you there or I can also do 8:00 at the Starbucks if that works better for you. Don't know what CAT means, but it must be something about getting in touch directly. I'll give it a try.

maomao · 31/08/2004 13:33

Heron, CAT is Contact Another Talker (see the menu bar at the top of the page). Sorry, 8:00 a.m. is far too early for the likes of me. I'm not organized enough to get out the door at that hour. Have you been to the playground at Downshire Hill?

Davros · 05/09/2004 19:30

Heron, have tried to return your CAT by cutting & pasting your email address (so don't think I'm making a mistake) and it keeps coming back as undeliverable, I've tried about 3 times. Get in touch and maybe we can meet this week. Tues prob good for me but NOT 8am!

ChicPea · 19/09/2004 00:33

Hi Davros and Maomao, have just read this thread. Have been working at my office 3 - 5 days a week since June or July - can't remember which month - and it's really not practical to even think about meeting other mums - Oh! the luxury!! MaoMao, I think I saw your DD a few weeks back in Hampstead - does your DH carry her on one of those carry back things? If it was your DD, she was looking very content.
Hope you are both well and your children too. Shall watch this thread in anticipation of working less.

ChicPea · 19/09/2004 00:36

Heron - you must be a serious "morning person".
There is no way I could get to Starbucks for 8am despite it serving my fave brew and even if I could, there is no way I could hold a conversation!! I would have to get up at 6am!

Hi onlineid,

Join the buggy brigade - we meet up every Wednesday at 11am at the playground on Downshire Hill, then walk across the heath to Kenwood House, have lunch there, and walk back. Lots of exercise, lots of people with kids of a similar age to yours - sometimes there's 20 or 30 buggies trekking across the heath!

:-)
