We're all going to the zoo...in Regent's Park

Would anyone like to come on an outing to London Zoo in Regent's Park? You could take the barge from Little Venice or meet us there? Expatkat and Maomao have expressed an interest on another thread so how about anyone else? We could have a morning outing and bring a picnic lunch. How is Friday 18th June?

Go ahead and have the meet up during half term if it suits everyone. I told Joffy I was unavailable until after June 10th, but my availability shouldn't dictate what everyone else does.

I am interested in a zoo trip and Friday AM is good for me. Just wondering about parking, what is the maximum time allowed outside the zoo? And if I take the barge, ramp allowing, what is the max parking time in Little Venice? (If I give the impression that I drive everywhere, I do!) Shall see Maomao next week and maybe I can give her a lift depending on the size of her buggy.

Chicpea, hi again. I'll check the meters for maximum time. It was always 4 hours, but there was talk recently of changing it to 2, so I'm not sure, but will get back to you. The best places to park in Little Venice are Warwick Avenue, by the tube station (there are a lot of metered spaces there) and on Howley Place.

Joffy, chicpea and maomao: do you think we might change the date in order that Joffy can join too? Can anyone put out any other suggestions? I think Joffy has to work around her ds's nursery (don't remember which days her ds is in nursery, though) and I have some things on some mornings, so Friday and Monday AMs tend to be the best for me. . .but I wouldn't mind skipping a morning activity if need be. What do the rest of you think about changing the date? Would you prefer to leave it as is?

If the 18th is cancelled, I can do Fri 25th. Can't do Mon-Wed yet as too busy working. On 24th, am going to House and Garden show - yawn - anybody want to go to that? Can also do 1st and 2nd of July. If Mon-Wed is better for everybody else, then please organise it (and leave me out!) and we can get together another time.

Well, it may be one of those situations where no matter what we do, someone is excluded. I'll check my diary and get back to you about the dates you just suggested, chicpea. Meanwhile, hopefully joffy wiill see this soon, and we'll have a better idea if it's worth changing the date for her (and others who couldn't join on the 18th).

JOFFY, MAOMAO, SOULFLY CHARLIECAT ANYONE ELSE: Can you do June 25th, July 1st or July 2nd?

(Or shall we leave it for the 18th, and it will just be me, chicpea and maomao? Maybe we should aim to come to a decision by tomorrow afternoon?)

Hi, I'm sorry for my late reply; just saw this thread. My MIL is supposed to be coming in a few weeks time, but not sure when. Why don't you set a time that works for you and Joffy (since she was one who initiated the idea, and I just wriggled my way in!), and hopefully I'll be able to make it as well!

What time are we meeting and how long do I need to park for? Just trying to get in the mood as our trip, if it is on the 2nd of July, is in 3 weeks time!!!
