Be strong Steppy!! Mummy must not be won round..... If she flipped it was for a good reason (at least that's what I always say....)

Mine just spend their after-school time arguing mostly or whingeing at me. Until they have food and then they're fit to be with. Can be a flashpoint...

Yes still on for Friday.

Steppy1 · 27/11/2006 18:15

..we've compromised (don't we always !!) We've decorated sparkley Xmas decorations to put on school Xmas tree tomorrow....and I've said that they can watch cars after school TOMORROW....providing they are good ........the alternative is to watch it with daddy on Friday

Hi girls just wanted to say I hope you all have a lovely time, sorry I can't come, ready meal and t.v for me, all on my own (unless I can hide the kids under the table with some choccy..?)

Hope you all get on and then maybe I can come to the next one.

Yeah it does doesn't it?

I couldn't find a rose of any description but I'll just ask for Sandy B's table - keeps making me want to break into songs from Grease....

See you later.. Is Lady M still coming along too?

hello! sorry I didn't make it - we've had a few problems with feeding, so have been chained to the sofa fattening dd up. But will definitely come along to the next one, and any daytime meet-ups there are in the meantime...

LadyMacbethlehem · 03/12/2006 18:44

Lovely to meet you two too! Thanks again for walking me down the dark alley to my car Steppy!

Hope to see you again in the New Year. Two Cats and LMT I hope you can make it next time too!

Yes. Definitely a good night thankyou both! I haven't been out without DH and/or at least one of the children for so long. Felt almost grown-up...

Has been a tragic weekend for the football hasn't it?

PS Thanks Steppy! Am rather proud of it.

joelallie · 04/12/2006 16:17

Yep. With us too. DH was in mourning yesterday . Thankfully we were at a friends house so there were plenty of non-footie people to dilute the misery of the claret and blues.

I keep trying to think of a christmas name - I thought of thefirstjoel but I think it's too lame really.

LadyMacbethlehem · 04/12/2006 18:17

The football comment was directed at all of us - I did think about the potential misery in the joelallie household too as the results were read out yesterday!

How about NOELallie? (using caps) Or is that lame too? Quite like it meself...

joelallie · 05/12/2006 09:27

NOELallie - not bad !! I often wonder what it would be like to live in a non-footie household..without that sense of foreboding that falls over us towards 4.30 whenever it looks they are going to lose.

Steppy1 · 05/12/2006 13:29

my DH was dissappointed...but for him he can take it or leave it (ie doesn't want to want to sit and watch it all ) so I guess that I have the best of both worlds
