Hello lovelies. Meet up on the 21st. Spread the word. Any suggestions for where to go?

Has anyone been to Carlucci's? Al Duomo's are always very accommodating (plus very local for cocktail bars!!)

GingerPuddin · 03/02/2015 09:19

Went awhile ago and the food was nice. I'm up for that unless anyone doesn't like it. We went with my dad who is gluten free and as I recall he was ok finding something he liked on the menu.
Now, who's coming?

MABS · 03/02/2015 10:01

like carcluccios a lot but can you book on a Saturday? Very child friendly so be lots of little uns there x

Helish · 03/02/2015 17:58

Count me in, although my attendance record hasn't been great for the last few meets, I'm hoping I can make this one! Prefer Al Duomo to carluccios, think the food is better and less kids running round Smile

GingerPuddin · 03/02/2015 20:07

Has anyone tried sabai the thai place ? Or aldumo is fine.

OP posts:
MABS · 04/02/2015 08:26

not tried it but i love Thai x

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 04/02/2015 13:32

Al Duomo looks quite nice on Tripadvisor.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 04/02/2015 13:33

Sabai is much more highly rated on Tripadvisor actually.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 04/02/2015 13:34

Sorry, I'm crashing your thread without declaring my intentions Grin

Would you lovely MNers mind a few gatecrashers from London? I would love to come to Brighton.

Helish · 04/02/2015 14:04

Love Thai, and visitors are very welcome Hearts

MABS · 04/02/2015 14:24

second that Helish

magimedi · 04/02/2015 15:44

I might also crash - coming from Eastbourne direction - so not such a crasher as Hearts!!

SaucyJack · 04/02/2015 17:00

Are you going to the pub afterwards? I'd quite like to pop in for one if you'll have me, but I'm not a restauranty type at the best of times.

MyGastIsTinselled · 04/02/2015 19:56

We normally go on to a pub afterwards that's when it gets messy Shock

GingerPuddin · 04/02/2015 20:34

Has anyone heard from some of the other regulars? So is sabai the choice?
I'll start counting heads and will aim to book late next week.

Yes yes! I'm in! I'm going on holiday until Thursday and coming home just so that I can come not because DP had to swap a day off at work because I needed him on Friday to do wedding stuff, oh no

Game for anywhere :)

magi I would have thought it'd be easier for Hearts to come from London compared to Eastborne? Don't you have to change at Lewes and all that malarkey? Or is there a direct train?

I'm so looking forward to this meet Grin

This is Pixie, btw, I figured that it was about time that I had a rat themed name seeing as I'm thoroughly obsessed with my mischief and this was as inventive as I could come up with for the moment Hmm I also like the Catan reference and didn't want to get rid of it just yet :(

18 minute direct train - no arsing round @ Lewes!

MABS · 05/02/2015 14:25

Sabai good for me :) x

MABS · 05/02/2015 14:35

have sent out text x

DoreensEatingHerSoreen · 05/02/2015 17:13

Thanks for text MABS,count me in.

I've got DS plus my friend's two DDs sleeping over Saturday night so will not be able to stay long after lunch (or get wasted Shock).
I've been wanting to try Sabai for a while!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/02/2015 21:31

I just have to convince DH that travelling to Brighton to meet strangers off t'internet is no bad thing. Grin He usually has no problem with London meet-ups so I am hopeful. He doesn't even mind when I have to go south of the river [sorry]

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/02/2015 21:33

There appears to be a direct train from London Bridge too. This is all looking very promising.

I have an uncle in Crawley..... could I make plans to stop in and see him on the way home or in everyone's experience will I be far too messy?!?!!

magimedi · 05/02/2015 22:47

You will be Waaaaaaaaaaaaay to messy.

Silly question - sensible answer.

Could I please have a pm about the meet up? I'd love to come along.

RattieofCatan · 05/02/2015 22:59

18 minutes?! Never knew that, I always assumed you had to swap at Lewes. Shows that I've not managed to reach Eastbourne in the three years I've lived in Brighton Shock

Hearts A trip to your uncle would only be good if he's the type to be fine about you falling asleep on the sofa ;)
This was me the morning after the last meet, actually fell asleep on my desk. I have never done that before:
Here

Doreen Shock No wine? You may need it to have two girls and your DS for the night! Grin
