New to Mumsnet - and new to Arborfield/Wokingham/Reading!

Hi! I moved to Berkshire from Sussex about 6 months ago and I'm finding it really hard to meet other mums. My little boy is 19 months old and we love stuff like walking, parks, arts'n'crafts, ... you name it! Problem is, we have no playmates! I've been to a few mother/toddler groups locally, but have found it quite hard to actually make friends - many of the groups I've tried have been a bit clichey (spelling?!) or at least well established, so no one seems to be interested in acquiring a new friend! I work part time which also makes it hard to attend some of them.

Would love to hear from other Mums in the Wokingham area who would be interested in meeting for coffee/play dates!

Hi there, I'm in Wokingham too (Woosehill area) People at the mums groups can be a bit 'clicky' iyswim, so I know how difficult it can be. Please feel free to CAT me for a chat or if you want to arrange a meet up.

Look forward to speaking with you,pp05x

The CAT facility is by subscription ... As I recall it allows you to send a message to another members email via mumsnet. Hope all is going okay for you (half term means I am a bit slow on checking MN - but will try and call in again in a few days). All the best,x
