lak114 · 17/10/2006 15:47

Does anybody fancy going to a baby and toddler group on a tuesday afternoon from 1 -3, it costs 50p for under 1's and £1 for over 1's. Its down hobleythink lane and somebody told me it is really good there, they have seperate rooms, one with all the toys and another with large toys like bikes etc for the bigger kids, they also have a Baby Clinic there in a separate room. So you can have your baby weighed and speak to a health visitor too (if you have little ones) - everything in one day lol, not sure if its on during half term tho i will find out!!!.

lak114 · 17/10/2006 15:48

Hobleythick - not think lol!

jazzybabe · 18/10/2006 08:50

i hate taking will for his jabs i always want to cry cos i feel mean!

lak114 · 18/10/2006 10:32

ok i rang about the baby and toddler group it runs term time only so there isnt one next week (cos its half term) but theres one the week after if u want to go!
The clinic in it runs from 1 - 2:30 so u can get babies weighed whilst ur there!!!
And it costs £1 per family!
U still up for it then Lesley?

jazzybabe · 18/10/2006 12:27

lak114 · 19/10/2006 10:37

jazzybabe · 19/10/2006 12:15

i was up early ,not as bad as the other day though, amberley for some reason was up early today too ,not up to much as baby gym this afternoon , jasmine can go round yelling at all the other kids again the minute jasmine fell asleep this morning i tried to set up my new phone had it since sun but havent had chance to set it up any way did that fed amberley , picked up my folder to do a birt of reading and jamsine woke up grrr can you believe it lol, so im just going to give up reading as she tries to grab everything i read so itd get ripped torn and finger prints all over it.ah there quietly watching pocoyo at mo so id better get there lunch ready. hope you dont work him to hard on his day off lol,

lak114 · 19/10/2006 21:14

lol as if i would - well we layed the floor down and spent the whole day deliberating which way to lay it, lol!
We have decided now and he is going to start laying it properly tomorrow while I go and do the shopping etc.
Don't know what nappies you use but Morrisons have big boxes of Pampers on special offer - my mum was telling me, cos i have to go and buy some tomorrow!
How was Jasmine today?

mummy5 · 19/10/2006 23:07

Hello, does anyone know any friendly mum and toddler groups in southend?

jazzybabe · 20/10/2006 08:34

Hi mummy of 5 , dont know any friendly groups as heard there ll a bit clicky lol , the one at surestart in cambridge road used to be ok but havent been there for ages so not sure what its like,
Laura, i know asda where doing offers on nappies pampers ones think a tenner for a box, tesco do two big packs for sixteen quid but personally out of all the nappies i think tesco own ones are the best, huggies are c r a p they leak pampers smell to chemically and dont always keep jasmines wee in as she drinks beakers of water and juice,That job is really getting on my goat now lol got some more homework !!! but apart from that im finding too much, i wanted a part time evening job nothing too strenous but they seem to be cramming in loads of stuff and xpect you to remember it all apart from that they didnt mention you got to be a wizz on a computer and im definatly not, i just got lost with the training yesterday and came home feeling s h i t and had a head ache lol, im looking for something else now but will stick it out till something comes along as need the money, for what they want you to remember the money is crud id rather do bar work or better still work in the kfc for the same amount lol, just really had enough of it, 4 girls have now dropped out too so its not just me thinking this, also a few who are still there are struggling tooespecially as they have collegue work to do !

jazzybabe · 20/10/2006 22:35

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANYONE OUT THERE !!!!

vicky55 · 20/10/2006 22:42

nope

UCM · 21/10/2006 05:54

Hi girls, nothing to report here, still not going out really because of pg, so am complete saddo relying on MN & ebay (recently addicted). Maybe I should start the coffee mornings off at my place, then I won't be such a saddo

Mummy5, there is a lovely group at Trinity Church which is next to the white horse pub/traffic lights. It's quite full though, but is great and is on thursday mornings 9.30.

I have heard good things about the one next to Tescos in Southchurch Road, Bell Vue at the baptist church.

If you phone up the Childrens Information Service for Southend, they have a list of current toddler groups, which I found very helpful and they mail it out to you.

Well, we are dressed and ready for me to waddle down the seafront to those arches cafes for brekky and then we are getting the train down the pier to show DS the big Russian Ship that is down there. It's massive. I saw some what I thought were Sea Cadets whilst driving pass the town yesterday but DH informed me that they are Russian Schoolboys. Actually what he said was 'Don't be daft look at the size of their hats'. Admittedly their peaked caps are like them charger things you put under plates
