Hello - I live in Chislehurst and have a lovely 7 month old baba.
I've met loads of nice local mums and babies, but no-one with the same kind of natural parenting ethos as I have. Granted it's not a particularly bohemian area

I'm not especially hardcore - but I don't even know any other local parents with a baby carrier!

I'd love to meet up with other parents who lean towards attachment parenting / being a bit green.
It gets a bit lonely!!

Thell I would look for baby yoga groups / heuristic play groups / maybe start up your own group for lentil weavers, advertising in places where local mums congregate and so on?

I hope you find some like minded souls soon.

Oh LLL meetings are potentially good as well! Or contact the NNN - Natural Nurture Network or whatever? They are all barking but very very lentilly

tHELLKITTEN · 06/10/2006 12:35

hmm, the NNN does look lentilly! but could be just the ticket!

i did baby yoga for a bit, but even the teacher made me feel like a complete eco-warrior
(although she did OM at her baby...and I did not.)

If there isn't a local group that's your cup of tea I would start one. You have nothing to lose and could meet loads of kindred spirits.

Hi,
I'm aiming to start a group in North Kent for Attachment Parenting. We have 11 yo and 7 yo sons. Did you manage to meet up with anyone?
