New mums in Nottingham - meet up in city centre?

Hi all, I am a new mum (ds 5 weeks) and was wondering if there are other new mums out there who fancy meeting up for coffee/chat etc.?
I don't want to exclude anyone ('old' mums would be great as well) and I know there are other meet-ups being organised, however I bet there are a few new mums lurking on this board (like I did for ages) thinking that they'd like to get out a little more and have some adult conversation but not sure where to start? I say here! A cup of coffee, some chat and you can go shopping after - what more could you ask for?

Hello,
New-ish mum... well, ds approaching 1yr so maybe I should have the hang of it by now!
Hope you don't mind if I use this board to also ask for recommendations on P&T groups in and around Nottm... esp North-ish side of City.

gringa9000 · 16/10/2006 00:51

HI.. I've just moved to Nottingham and have an almost-2 yr old... can I come along??! Walnut shell, I'm starting going to a P&T group in sherwood - on mansfield rd - next thursday morning. can't remember the exact details but google it and it comes up!

Walnutshell · 17/10/2006 20:47

Hi Gringa, would that be the one at the Sherwood Community Centre? I have heard recommendations and it's pretty near to me.

I usually work Thurs otherwise I would have gone before, however, I may be off this Thurs so perhaps I should give it a go anyway... Are you def still going this work? First time?

Anyone else interested in the OP - meet up?

Hiya i'm a new mum, he's only 4 weeks, would love to meet up sometime x

gringa9000 · 18/10/2006 16:19

Yes Walnut that's the one. I am hopefully going and it is my first time... but from what I see on the website I like the look of it, and I reckon it's worth a go as is near me too. I will be the one running around after a huge shouty kamikaze Latino boy. Anyone else??....

Walnutshell · 18/10/2006 19:41

Hah! Gringa, I like the sound of your huge shouty Latino boy! If I make it I will be there with nosey blonde boy who points at everything. (I've asked him to learn some words but he wonders why bother when doting family run around trying to decipher 'ah' and 'da' in various combinations with pointing finger).
Occasional screaming and back arching also a feature. Oh, that's me not him ...

Hi everyone...i knew you were out there. Do you fancy meeting up somewhere for coffe perhaps? Those with toddlers...do you do coffee shops?

When/where is good for folks?

Even better idea...how about the John Lewis restaurant. It has the nicest parents room in Nottingham and is really child friendly?
