trying2bgood · 26/09/2006 13:40

hello, went to this last year too, and it was indeed very good!

I have not been on mumsnet for a while, I see the west london threads are going great guns!

Nanou1 · 26/09/2006 14:28

goodie! let's wait for the other ladies to respond and see what we can do.

I'm a maybe, depending on price. What ages does it suit?

Nanou1 · 26/09/2006 15:00

difficult to say. between 2.5 and 6 ? but some people could disagree. my own dd does not watch cbeebies as much as she used too but at 18 months i thought she was far too young! re price i seem to remember i paid £20 for me and £17 for my (french) nephew who had a ball even though he can't have understood much!!! it is pricey but if we are enough people we could get a price discount. will investigate what we can get.

The reson I asked was I wondering if it would be worth taking DS (19 months at Christmas time). And you've answered my question: he'll stay home with DH who won't want to go anyway. So I could come with DD. So, that's around £40 for me and DD. Maybe... if she's really good (little chance of that!).

Uwila · 28/09/2006 10:16

Where do you live? Do you want to join the west London evening meet-ups?

f1nut · 28/09/2006 10:26

hi Uwila im ealing way, would love to do evening meet but hubbie works nights so no one to look after kids .
what show time was you thinking of?
xxxxx

Uwila · 28/09/2006 10:33

I'm letting Nanou organise this one. I'm happy to go with the flow. Agreeable I am.

Nanou1 · 28/09/2006 10:37

quick note to say hi. busy bee at work. show on 23am December around 10am i seem to remember in wembley stadium. so... who else would be coming then? f1nut .. welcome! a group of us are meeting tomorrow morning at the Child Play Cafe around 10am if you want to join us. have a good day all.

Uwila · 28/09/2006 10:39

Oh looky. Her ears must have been burning. 23 December is what day of the week?

Uwila · 28/09/2006 10:41

okay, so I'm lazy. I know I could look myself... oh, so it's Saturday. Ok with me (tentatively until I talk to DH). Are DH/DPs coming. Thinking of leaving him home with DS, as I'm sure DD will have more fun without him, and I prefer not to spend money on something he won't get anything out of.

Nanou1 · 28/09/2006 11:05

hiya! too expensive to "indulge" on DHs and DPs tbh! also i'd say your ds is too young and would probably get ratty at some point ; i remember last year being glad i hadn't taken my dd. some kids were really miserable and it was hard for the parents who came as a whole family; expensive and dads ended taking some kids out!

Nanou - Oi you idea snatcher you! It was me that mentioned this show on the West London thread but nobody seemed interested BTW, it was lovely meeting you and your little butterfly DD at the CPC.

There's 3 show times on Sat 23rd Dec 10:45am 01:45pm and 04:45pm. I was thinking of taking DS to the 04:45pm one as morning one seems a bit too early and lunch time one is during nap time. Thought the later one sounds good because could take kids out to child friendly restaurant for dinner b4 heading home. Does this suit others, what d'ya fink?

2Cute · 01/10/2006 15:58

Mind you having promoted the idea of doing the later one I am flexible if it doesn't suit others. I'd prefer to go with other mums because it means saving £20 on a ticket for DH who would only be going to keep me company.

MrsBigD · 02/10/2006 11:08

sounds great especially as dd's bd is 22/12 Now to decide whether to bring ds who'll be 2.3 and loves cbeebies

2cute I thought you mentioned the balloon thingy

Nanou1 · 02/10/2006 12:27

hi everybody! 2cute so sorry ... was reading the other west london thread and saw that it was you had mentioned it so you ok?!

OP posts:
2Cute · 02/10/2006 13:45

Nanou - I'll forgive you if you bribe me with LOTS of chocolates

BigD - I think the balloon idea was Paddle's. Definately bring DS if he likes cbeebies, my DS is 2.6 and also lurves it.

Shall we decide on the show time so we can get tickets booked?

Nanou - From your last visit there, would you say the upper tier seats were the best?

2Cute · 03/10/2006 19:31

Have I frightened you away Nanou with my demand for chocolates?

Nanou1 · 04/10/2006 09:47

LOL 2cute! no you haven't . love chocolates too as my hips will prove!!!!!! can't remember where we were seating last year ; middle up i think... middle always better than sides i think....

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 04/10/2006 09:48

re times, was thinking am might be better since people might be travelling outside london for xmas on that same day?!
