They have an Easter egg treasure hunt for 5+, it's free and they get a choc egg at the end; it's a drop-in from 12-3. (Details here .) sykes is visiting forestfly and we thought it would be nice to get together if poss.

And it's indoors so if it rains we can still go!

Anybody interested? (I know lots of people are busy at Easter but if you're not please come!) There is a big discount shopping outlet there too. And culcha. And a cinema. And it's near Old Trafford.

Just to say thank you to Janh for organising the easter meet! It was good to meet you and Monika and the kids had a great time would love to meet more next time round!

I am so jealous! I ended up at the emergency doctor today trying to get ds1 admitted to the hospital with no luck. I wish I could have come. I've had such a boring day. I'd find it much easier to meet up during the week so I only have to bring ds1. Ds1 is a bit of a handful.

glitterfairy · 12/04/2004 20:33

Flip, sounds like a nightmare why were you at the emergengy docs? Always awful and fraught experiences imho.

Flip · 12/04/2004 20:35

Have a look at the screaming in pain thread. I'm grey! I'm begining to feel paranoid. I'm never away from the docs or the hospital. The Urgent -sicky baby thread is mine to. What I wouldn't give for two well kids right now.

Thanks, gf - it was a pleasure - great to meet you and yours, and moniker's lovely boys! We found Pizza Hut at Horwich with astonishing ease, thanks for that too.

Flip, so sorry to hear about your awful day and your poorly boys, what a rotten winter you've had. I've just read your sore bottom thread and wish I could think of something to help...I suppose he's in bed now? Only I wondered if a bicarb bath (like for chicken pox) might help with the itching? Or is the skin too broken for that? Hope you can get him sorted very soon.

Tell us as soon as things start looking up and we'll try to arrange another meet?

Pizza Hut at Horwich! I drove past there today. Do you live near Horwich?

glitterfairy · 12/04/2004 21:01

Flip have just read your thread and sounds absoultely awful. Which primary care do you go to in Nwest? Thre is nothing worse than screaming child with pain which you cant seem to do anything about.

Flip · 12/04/2004 21:05

We're under Wigan and Bolton Health Authority and we frequently attend Lamark House in Bolton for out of ours consults.

glitterfairy · 12/04/2004 21:21

Have you tried any of stuff other mums talked about? I often find that when dealing with docs it is important to know exactly what you want them to do and go in with an agenda. This can be the most frustrating thing about the health service. I only know bolton hospital vaguely not any of the opther services.

Flip · 12/04/2004 21:24

The peads area of Bolton hospital is great. They took great care of ds2. It's just being able to get reffered there. Although I think we might have turned a corner with ds1's bottom. He's just gone to bed now (yes I know it's late) and I've applied the cream the doctor gave me today. It is the first time in weeks that he hasn't cried or screamed when I've applied something. This is only the third application and already the rash looks different. Fingers crossed that this stuff will work. I think it has an antifungal thing in it. Please let it work! Maybe if I say it enough it will.
