mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 23/10/2006 14:20

Bump the elephant wasn't quite so elegant - Bit like me really.

Sorry can you tell I am bored?

belgianmama · 23/10/2006 21:36

Hi, I'm new to MN, but live in the midlands. Do you mind if I join your thread? Don't worry I'm not planning to come in Nov. That'd be a bit short notice! It just seems like there's so little people from the Midlands on MN, or am I mistaken?

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 00:28

Welcome belgianmama you are welcome to come along in november if you want. If you wan to meet any of us before hand though just give us a shout.

LunarSea · 24/10/2006 07:43

hi belgianmama - where abouts are you? I'm sure one of us will be near you and could get together before the meal if you don't want to dive straight into meeting everyone at once.

stretchmarks · 24/10/2006 15:11

HI belgianmama,

I dived straight into the last meet up - everyone is very nice so please feel free to come along.

belgianmama · 24/10/2006 19:33

Hi I'm from just north of Walsall. I don't mind meeting everyone at once. I've also just consulted my diary and I happen to be off on the evening of the 17th (I work shifts), so I could do it I suppose. When I think about it, it's a strange thing to do really, inviting myself along a meeting with a bunch of people I've never met before in my life. But hey, why not, it's probably a better way to spend my Friday than I normally do!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 20:09

Inviting ourselves along is how we all get started you are more than welcome to join us.

belgianmama · 24/10/2006 20:18

OK, I will come then. I've no idea where the Bull's Head Meridian is though.

belgianmama · 24/10/2006 20:36

Oh, I had another look and I saw it's Bull's Head Meriden, still don't know where it is though.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 20:48

I am in Great Barr and am driving that night. You could follow me over if we can agree a place and time to meet.

belgianmama · 24/10/2006 21:01

I'm from close to you then, Aldridge. How about the ASDA car park?

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 22:45

Yup no problem that's where I work.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 12:58

bump

chocolatemummy · 26/10/2006 14:45

thanks all for welcoming me, I am stuck in the horrors of house sale/purchase/ne job to start ect etc at the moment so havent had chance to come on her for a week or two. I will be very pleased to join you all in meets ups once I am up there and settled. I will keep a watchful eye on the thread

belgianmama · 26/10/2006 21:09

Hi mummyscary. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. Worked late last night & didn't get a chance to get near the computer. Today was not much better. @ what time and where exactly do you want to meet up on the car park?

belgianmama · 26/10/2006 22:33

MummyScary would you maybe prefer to CAT me with more details of where, how, when & what time to meet?

belgianmama · 27/10/2006 11:16

bump

Ronniebaby · 27/10/2006 13:15

belgianmama - hiya, Mummyhill has 2 kiddies, and DS is teething, so she isnt always able to get on PC, but she will reply to you.

You are more than welcome to join us, I went to one of the first Midlands meet ups and didnt know anyone, I meet, Lunarsea, but I had already met Twinklemummy, Madamebutterfly, Mummyhill, Jampots.

It is easy if you meet up with someone before hand then at least you know someone, but it doesnt always work like that, we are all really friendly and will make you or any new MNer welcome. Myself & mummyhill are scary (teehee) but we are still really nice gals.

Hi everyone, Lunarsea, can I ask a favour of you, I am going on Holiday next week (to Cape Town) and wont be nack til about 9th Nov, so if we can get all those coming, to confirm definites and could you book a table???

Definites (Yes's)

Ronniebaby YES

Ladies can you please do a final confirm

Stretchmarks - yes
LunarSea - yes
Ronniebaby - yes

Looking forward to it

Delia · 27/10/2006 18:12

Still awaiting bump at the momment but is due in 9 days so hopefully should have an answer for you soon!!!!

belgianmama · 27/10/2006 23:26

You can change the ?? into a YES, Ronniebaby. Dh is getting quite confused though. Can't understand why I want to meet up. Must think that being @ home or work all the time is lots of fun!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 28/10/2006 08:33

belgianmama - Sorry not of gotten back to you. I also work till late at night and as Ronnie said my youngest is not letting anyone sleep very much atm. Asda car park will be great at the back by the recycling facility is usually fairly quiet so we could meet there. I drive a sliver Mondeo. As for the time will need to know what time the table is before I can get my head round that one if you see what I mean.

Ronnie - I luv ya hun but do you have to tell everyone I am scary? I promise to behave myself!!!!

So that gives us

Stretchmarks - yes
LunarSea - yes
Ronniebaby - yes
Mummyhill - yes
MadameButterfly - yes
Twinklemummy - yes
wabbit - yes
belgianmama - yes

Delia - possible baby dependant.

belgianmama · 28/10/2006 09:35

Hi MummyHill, nice to hear from you again. Back of the recycling OK. I've got a greenish (apparently lagoon silver) Corsa. So you can wave if you see me coming.
Was in ASDA the other day. Couldn't help to try & guess if you were one of those people walking around .

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 28/10/2006 10:15

Nah not me 7-12 3 nights a week and 9hrs on Sat on the tills for me.

Will sort out a time with you when Lunarsea lets us know what time the table is booked for. I can't cat but my email addy is mummyhillandtheminihills at yahoo dot co dot uk if you want to get in touch and arrange to meet up for coffee one day between now and then.
