So, this started on the Ealing/Ricmond/Kingston meet-up thread. But there are too many conversations going on over there so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Where: Kew Gardens, Creepers and Crawlers
When: Saturday, 02 September
Time: 11:00

So, who is in? Speak up now.....

Some of us may also meet up on 30 August or 1 Sept' - possibly at Pembroke LOdge in Richmond Park, or Marble Hill Park if you are around then.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 10:09

I can make Kew fair (fayre?) in the afternoon probably but not the gardens in the morning.

rabbitrabbit · 26/08/2006 10:13

xoxoxo · 26/08/2006 13:42

hi
I've found this thread now too.

I don't think we will get to the kew fair on 2nd sept but am around on 30aug/ 1st sept for either pembroke lodge/ marble hill park.
marble hill park is 1 mins walk away so get's my lazy arse vote. But then Pembroke has yummy coffee/ cakes so gets my fat arse vote. I'm nothing if not adaptable!!!

xoxoxo

Uwila · 26/08/2006 13:47

Hey, are you hijacking my Kew Gardens' thread?

OP posts:
suejonez · 26/08/2006 14:38

Ooooooh, get you, coming over all possessive!

Paddlechick666 · 26/08/2006 17:56

i cant do anything 30th but could do something on the 1st (that's a Friday right?).

no idea where pembroke lodge or marble hill are tho and currently can only find pocket A-Z which doesn't cover this area.

yummy coffee and cakes is getting my lardy arse vote too!

Oxoxo/Paddle

Hi Pembroke lodge gets my vote - as its easier to park there. I'm so sad aren't I

1 Sept is slightly better for me as long lost friend who's been living in Belize has announced she's visiting me on 30 August now

fatfox · 27/08/2006 08:24

I mean for long lost friend.

Paddle, Pembroke Lodge is in Richmond Park - if you drive in through the Richmond gate (on Richmond Hill), turn right at the mini-roundabout, towards Ham/Kingston, there is a car park on the right, a few hundred meters up. That's the Pembroke Lodge car park. There is a cafe with fattening cakes, as you have gathered, plus fab views and a short walk to a fantastic childrens play area with sand pits etc. Also lots of loos, for any of you with dodgy pelvic floors.

Aaaaahh, this thread is mine, ALL MINE

fatfox · 27/08/2006 08:32

Me again, as this thread is ALL MINE this morning.

Am going to sister's big party this afternoon so will anounce pregnancy to whole family

My Mum will be so happy - she loves babies and this will proably be her last grandchild that any of us manage to produce.

My Dad will want to say something insensitive and negative, as he doesn't like children, even his own grand children, but he won't be able to say anything mean as it would look bad in front of everyone else Will choose moment carefully, in order to dilute his response.

Sister 1 will be happy, brother will be thrilled, sister 2 to will be happy, but sad as she probably can't have children and as mega health problems.

Wish me luck

ps. am also driving rather attractive young male children's entertainer to the party (1hr 45 min journey )

bumpmakestwo · 27/08/2006 11:18

The thread has been snatched from your grasp! Me and Bump going to bbq this arvo as well and staying over. Last time I saw the majority of the people was last year when I announced I was pregnant and believe me EVERYONE was shocked! But everyone was happy as they will be for you today. Good luck with children's entertaner, can you send him my way when you done with him???!!!

suejonez · 27/08/2006 15:58

the rule if you are coming to my house is you each have to bring a rather attractive young male children's entertainer with you (sod any alcohol - I don't really do drink. I do, however, do men)

xoxoxo · 27/08/2006 17:38

instead of kids entertainers should we bring adult entertainers?

everyone should ignore sj and bring alcohol anyway!!!

suejonez · 27/08/2006 17:41

adult entertainers are just fine it's the young attractive male bit thats important. Hell they don;t even have to be entertainers - I'll make my own entertainment...

xoxoxo · 27/08/2006 17:51

will bring dd's 'ken' doll.
he's young, male, attractive (for a doll). YOu just ned a lot of imagination/ alcohol but am sure we can make him entertaining!

fatfox · 28/08/2006 08:13

Morning all and glad you are enjoying MY thread

Had a fab day yesterday. Particularly the journey down and back

Had thought children's entertainer was aged about 25 and gay, but on closer inspection he's mid 30's and has a girlfriend who has two kiddies same age as ours

Seriously though, he was brilliant and was really kind to my brother who has Downs. Because I got him the job he was following me round being nice to me all day

Or perhaps he was following me because I'm so young looking and attractive ?

If any of you need a children's entertainer for kiddies parties, CAT me and I'll pass his details on. He also does grown up parties as well. He's American, does proper majic (not just on me ) i.e. you really can't work out how he does those tricks. Also does circus skills, story telling etc etc and the BEST balloon modelling any of us had ever seen. He made a model of a monkey climbing a tree; that is a tree complete with leaves and a coconut etc. He charges £50 per. hour.

Also, he joined in with the music and sang some Neil Young songs in a brilliant Neil Young type voice. That may actually mean he's older than mid-30's eh girls ?

Just as well DH doesn't go on MN isn't it?

Oh and by the way, we did tell the family about the pregnancy and they were all lovely about it My Dad's girlfiend even said "if you ever want us to babysit; just give us a ring" !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is groundbreaking and may even mean we have to get our act together to go out sometimes

Hope every one else is enjoying their bank holiday weekend

fatfox · 28/08/2006 08:21

Bumpmakes2: Thanks for the support - are you PG?
If so, when is your EDD?

fatfox · 29/08/2006 08:42

bumpmakestwo · 29/08/2006 12:34

bumpmakestwo · 29/08/2006 22:03
