Hi Lewsmummy - I live in North Sheffield (close to M1)and could meet up either next week (Tues) or the week after (Weds). I wonder if we've met before - I went to the Eastfield Arms(think that's the right name) with Hula last summer. Did you go to that one?

I've got a DS (almost 5!). How old are your children?

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 19:33

Hi callielou,

My ds is only 6 month old but 3 of the others who normally come on meets have boys around your ds's age. But i think 1 is still on holiday.

When was the Eastfield Arms meet that u went on, I went to 1 there when i was pg.

We've done canon hall once and eastfield arms once and had a canon hall one arranged last month but cancelled at the last minute. I can go anywhere with ds its the older kids we need to think about so any suggestions?

It was well over a year ago since I went to the Eastfield Arms, but can't remember when. I think the original plan was to go to Cannon Hall but the weather was awful!

I'm not sure that I'll be able to meet Wednesday 23rd now, but will know whether I can or not by the end of this week. Tues 15th is still OK.

I don't mind where we go - there are lots of lovely places locally. As long as there is a good play area/lots of open space to run around in to keep the children happy. I'd prefer not to go to Cannon Hall though as I've been there lots of times recently!!!!

Is anyone else interested?

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 20:21

Just need someone else to see it so keep it bumped if we can.

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 21:34

Chloe55 - ds 6mth
Amber5 - ds 3/4
Sarahhal - ds 3/4, ds 1 ish i think
Trace2 - ds 4

Trace is a rl friend who isn't on holiday but not spoke to her yet.

Chloe55 is on feb postnatal thread with me and has been on today so i'll put a note on there for her

I'm up for it - I can't do wednesday but I can do tuesday, I'm happy with any venue - have any of you been to leapfrogs in skelmanthorpe or jellybeans in denby dale?

callielou · 09/08/2006 22:16

Not been to either of those places - be nice to try somewhere new. Are they both soft play places?

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:22

I haven't been to any either.

I'll text or msn trace2 sometime tomorrow but don't know how to get hold of amber5/stinkypete. Just found on the other thread that sarahhal was going away for a month and that was end of July i think so she won't be coming.

OP posts:
lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:24

Unless anyone can't make it shall we say Tuesday 15th for now. Morning or Afternoon? Where?

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 09/08/2006 22:25

Yes they are both soft play areas, I have never been to jellybeans but it is apparantly more set up for younger babes, leapfrogs is great though, i go most weeks with my babygroup and there is a baby section - both will prob be pretty busy considering it is school hols though

Chloe55 · 09/08/2006 22:26

This way might be a bit far for you though callie - do you want to go somewhere more central?

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:26

Hhhmmm forgot it was school hols

OP posts:
callielou · 09/08/2006 22:28

Tues 15th is fine. Morning is best for me as DS has a dentist's appointment at 4.15 in Sheffield (though please don't mention it to him as he isn't keen on going!)

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:30

Ds is happier in the mornings

OP posts:
lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:32

Mmm just thought trace2's son is at a private nursery so no school hols for hm and he goes mornings. I need to get her o here tomorrow see when she's free.

OP posts:
callielou · 09/08/2006 22:34

Skelmanthorpe and Denby Dale aren't too far for me as I live about 5 mins from the M1.

Another nice place is Elsecar. There's a lovely soft play place (can't remember the name) in the heritage centre that opened last October. Have you been there?

The school holidays do mean that these places are likely to be busy!

Chloe55 · 09/08/2006 22:37

Mornings are best for me too, ds is at his best then aswell.

lewsmummy · 09/08/2006 22:40

Right i'll have to get trace involved tomorrow she could let him stay home for one day i suppose.

OP posts:
trace2 · 10/08/2006 08:34
