Don't do pool either but I can certainly drink

Cam · 06/08/2006 23:18

I can't come to this one as I'm being invaded for a week by my parents, DB, 1 niece, 1 nephew and a grandson the next morning

chocolatemummy · 09/08/2006 22:54

hiya gals, Mabs, Custy, Farmerted you okay?
I am up in the midlands, have been for over a week having a bit of a change of scenery at my mums, being talked into moving back up here by everyone!
It is cheap and it would help given my current situ?

Hope you are all ok and see you all soon, looks like the christmas meet is well on the way to being organised

Tortington · 09/08/2006 23:46

you absolutley can't move!

so tell everyone to shut it

sorted

OP posts:
farmerted · 10/08/2006 23:06

MABS · 11/08/2006 15:18

Cam · 11/08/2006 21:01

Tortington · 12/08/2006 00:35

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 13/08/2006 11:08

hello, back down south,
I think I am going to have to get ANY job, even if its just working behind a bar or waitressing like my uni days, as long as I have something coming in.
Farmerted, you have a point but I have lots of friends and family doing pretty well up there, living in much bugger, nicer houses, going on several decent holidays a year and everything is cheaper yet you are on the same pay scales?
I need a miracle to be able to stay down here and live that kind of life.

I'm flaking girls, I could still come to the xmas meet up! lol

kimi · 13/08/2006 11:58

Fish bowl has a pool table.
Would love to come but will be in cornwall!!

Tortington · 13/08/2006 17:08

well kimi - thats just not good enough i'm afraid.

look choccy - we have only just really met you - you can't go moving now - thats just selfish.

OP posts:
spidermama · 13/08/2006 17:35

Oh yes! Yes! I can come to the ball. I used to love pool. I'm a bit shit at it but I don't care. I'm also getting quite practised at drinking.

Just to recap and correct me if I've scanned wrongly but ...

25th at 7pm at the Polar bar in St. Georges Road, Kemptown.

See you all there.

Tortington · 13/08/2006 18:33

spidey can ye give me directions?

OP posts:
sunnydelight · 13/08/2006 20:00

Custy: Down Queens Road from the station to the clock tower, turn left down Western Road until you come to the Steine, straight accross and up St. James' Street, continute on until it turns into St. George's Road. Alternatively take the no. 7 bus from outside the station and I'm pretty sure it will drop you outside - that's what I'm planning on anyway

spidermama · 13/08/2006 20:49

Thanks sunny. I've never been before either. Perhaps we could all meet on the number 7 at the station.

chocolatemummy · 14/08/2006 17:23

I am hoping to come,
how will you get there Custy?
I know where St Georges road is.

Thanks for the little boosts Custy, sorry to be so boring and negative
I have quite alot of nice friends down here actually, until this happened I didn't realise just how many

sunnydelight · 14/08/2006 20:00

I'm off home to drink Guinness for a week - see you all at the meet up.

Tortington · 15/08/2006 00:14

sunny stop braggin you tart.

choccy not boring and negative at all - so shut it

i plan on looking on a map online....finding out where it really is..... then walking from station.

unless. 3 more want to meet at station at 6.30 ish and we can share a cab - bound to be cheaper than individually paying for a bus

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 16/08/2006 15:11

I might drive Custy or atleast get dropped off, but if not I'll meet you on the train or at the station and share a cab yes, its the other side of Brighton from the station, along past the Royal Sussex Hospital.

Cam · 16/08/2006 15:27

Cab? Walk from the station down to the Old Steine and then up Eastern Road Custy. Then cut through into St Georges Road once you're well into Kemp Town.

ScummyMummy · 16/08/2006 19:57

I'm turning into a serial no-show, I'm afraid.I'm SO sorry- just didn't realise how much i'd be panicking about my dissertation at this point and I really can't afford a night out followed by almost certain massive hangover to wiping out precious working days. I really am not always this unreliable, I promise. Have a great time.

Tortington · 17/08/2006 00:46

i know where the hospital is - spent whole days in the sodding place - still would prefer a cab so dont turn up looing like a sweaty gimp

CAM are you coming my love?

OP posts:
Tortington · 17/08/2006 00:47

i haven't seen you since the 'long island iced tea incident' i'm getting a complex

OP posts:
MABS · 17/08/2006 10:04

Hiya girls, just coulredn't resist telling you i have dragged myself off the 38degree beach in Muscat to say see you all soon! Big hugs Choccy, keep your pecker up girl.XXxx

farmerted · 17/08/2006 11:29

38 degrees!! Doesn't really compare with my plans to go camping at a festival in Wales this weekend....forecast is rain . Make the most of it Mabs!

Hope to make it next week - you could come on the train with me chocs?? Don't you fancy a drink??!
