Moving to Retord area - Notts/ Doncaster Mums, advice please!

I am moving to just outside Retford at the end of August. I don't know anything at all about the area, and would just like to know a few bits of info. Does anyone have any recommendations of schools in the area? I've done a bit of research (well, ok, my teacher sister has on my behalf) and narrowed it down to about 3, but any actual experience of secondary schools/ nurseries/childminders would be gratefully appreciated. Also, any local fun stuff for kids to do, clubs, activities, mother and toddler groups (interested in Stagecoach for timid DD1) or places to go. Plus shopping, where are the best places to shop (v.important! ) Any titbits at all I would love to hear!

hi we live in doncaster, i recommend the new shopping centre that recently just got re-furbished it has a debinhamas, game, hmv, quiz, ottakas, it's alot like meadowhall though not quite as big.

There is a large carboot called Olcoats and Thorsby which is a market everysunday.

Not sure about toddler groups but theres a website that has a list of local ones (not sure if i am allowed to sayit's name on here) but
