Ok, anybody wishing to meet up still despite the old thread, sign up here! Smile

Horrocks.

Beetle73 · 13/06/2006 22:09

I will. 9th OK for me, but another date would be even better.

imaginaryfriend · 13/06/2006 22:20

9th ok for me too. But you mentioned the Saturday after, Beetle? That's good for me too.

Piffle · 13/06/2006 22:22

FWIW if the venue is Hyde Park or possibly any major park in London and England make the World Cup final... There will be big screens and presumably lots of atrociously nylon patriotically clothed, lager fuelled footie monsters around.
My bro lives on Battersea Park and informs me they will indeed take over the park in such an event...
refusing to tell me how likely it is that England reach the final though...

imaginaryfriend · 13/06/2006 22:26

Are you coming then piffle? Shall I start to compile a 'list' of names? I'm a novice, this is my first meet-up ... if it happens of course! Are we definitely up for Hyde Park? Coram's Fields is very nice, lovely for kids, central too. Guaranteed plasma-screen-free. Just a thought.

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 13/06/2006 22:26

I thought all the big plasma screens were gone, because of riots? Or at least, the screens don't show footie any more ...

NotQuiteCockney · 13/06/2006 22:27

Oh, and I might make it, depending on dates etc.

imaginaryfriend · 13/06/2006 22:28

Are you coming NQC?

Let's forget footie for a minute and think picnics!

OP posts:
imaginaryfriend · 13/06/2006 22:29

Oops, clashed, NQC.

Ok, I'm going to suggest Saturday 15 July, from 11am onwards, Hyde Park OR Coram's Fields. We can vote on the venue?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2006 22:36

nice work, imaginaryfriend :)

Beetle73 · 13/06/2006 22:37

15 July great for me. Don't mind about venue.

imaginaryfriend · 13/06/2006 22:40

Thanks Franny Smile your email helped big time. Will you come now?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2006 07:46

Will check dates and see what's happening :)

hub2dee · 14/06/2006 08:09

15th ? I'm in...

imaginaryfriend · 14/06/2006 09:56

hub, blokes allowed so long as they are properly washed and don't swear.

OP posts:
imaginaryfriend · 14/06/2006 09:59

Ok, so here's my first name list for meeting on 15 July, location to be confirmed but probably Hyde Park or Coram's Fields.

Yes list:

OP posts:
Piffle · 14/06/2006 12:43

def out of the 15th due to dps work committments.

imaginaryfriend · 14/06/2006 14:17

That's a shame, piffle. Anybody else interested? How many people do you think we need to have to make it worth while?

OP posts:
magnolia1 · 14/06/2006 21:01

Could probably make the 15th, had to pull out of 9th coz of football and I wanna leave some of the kids at home Grin

imaginaryfriend · 14/06/2006 21:50

Hurray, magnolia. Can I put you on the yes list then? It's a thin list so far. I hope too many people aren't put off by what happened on the other thread ...

OP posts:
magnolia1 · 14/06/2006 21:58

Yep I will come Smile

Posey · 15/06/2006 14:57

Can I be put down as a maybe for the 15th (just need to confirm dd is off on Brownie pack holiday)
Can I vote for Coram's Fields, main reason being its enclosed so less likely to lose a child than in what could be a very busy central London park.

imaginaryfriend · 15/06/2006 18:54

Yes of course Posey, the more the merrier! Smile

cheltenhamgal · 15/06/2006 19:25
