Hi Mickey,

From SBridgwater but not expecting a baby now. Well past that...my youngest is 3!!

There are a few other Somerset mums that sometimes post here. I expect some of them are at the same stage as you.

Thanks Joelalie. I actually live south side too!

Hi

Not in Bridgwater atm, but lived there until last year and will go back to the area. back a lot as we do the carnivals, so might be able to make a meet up? As I say we will be back when I graduate anyway.

Hasn't been anyone but me from bridgy on here before- about time too I say!

I'm in Crewkerne but not expecting a baby - my dear son is 3 now. I remember the early days well though.Grin

So nice to hear so soon from people who are near or have lived in the area! Great to see the town on the map.

Peachy! Last time anyone mentioned Bridgy on here it was just to slag it off...... Speaking as non-native Bridgy gal I'm quite fond of the place....

I'm in Crewkerne too, dd is 13 months though. I think Somerset is good for kids, reasonable towns with shops and facilities, lots of lovely countryside and country parks and beaches, what more could they want!

Although I'm not strictly a "new mum", my daughter is. She has limited access to the internet so am writing on her behalf. She has recently moved to Willand, Devon. But visits me frequently in Bridgy. We both have recently moved here and she has a limited amount of friends which seems to have made the birth of her daughter 4 weeks ago a difficult time for her. I think it would be a great idea for her to meet other mums who are going through or have been through the same thing.

Feel that I have done everything I can to help her so far but that she might listen to someone else.

Could ramble on at length, but won't bore you !

Any meet ups, chat rooms - anyone got anything to suggest ?? Please !
