Thought we could make it all official and post notice in the proper place for all those brave enough to 'break cover' Smile
Friday 9th June, 1pm onwards at Milans coffee house (opposite the ELC)

This could be a contender for 'quote of the week' LOL

''I am popping into Milans tomorrow with a bag full of toys to replace the ones that got chucked down the drain. Lets hope they don't cause some sort of blockage!! '' Grin

EmmyLou · 09/06/2006 19:12

Grin FMF - that last bit I say under my breath when feeding children omlettes (yet again).

gummysmummy · 09/06/2006 20:15

Now that we've broken the ice it would be great to meet up again. Always on for a social! Smile
Northener - will bang on the window if I see you running past!

fullmoonfiend · 09/06/2006 20:20

I love the world cup - it means I can go out and dh will stay home and babysit while footie's on :)

Gummymummy - are you going to have find another name when LO's teeth star popping through :)

fullmoonfiend · 09/06/2006 20:20

Too many smilie faces there, sorry. Too many beers...

bettythebuilder · 09/06/2006 21:26

is there such a thing as too many beers?

60 minutes into the Poland-Ecuador match. Now, I consider myself a football fan, but I can see this next month is really going to drag. Fmf, I think your idea of a television watching babysitter is an excellent one.

OP posts:
EmmyLou · 10/06/2006 09:08

My dh calls it 'childminding' when he looks after the (our) kids. Hmmm not sure how he works that one out.

I generally find I have to remove children to another room when a really important match is on so I don't think the football watching/babysitting would work chez Emmylou the price I pay for having 3 daughters with no interest in footy. Working on the shopping and lunching out thing though Wink

harrogatemum · 10/06/2006 09:24

betty - where was my invite!!! I will reprimand you later today whilst enjoying your hospitality!

koshka1984 · 10/06/2006 10:10

gummysmummy · 10/06/2006 11:44

See you later HM.

harrogatemum · 10/06/2006 12:25

gummysmummy are you who I think you are?

gummysmummy · 10/06/2006 12:29

Maybe...Grin

harrogatemum · 10/06/2006 12:33

aha 10 month old DS, DH who flies planes for a living. I am too perceptive.

harrogatemum · 10/06/2006 12:33

I mean 9 month old DS

Novacane · 10/06/2006 13:52

I got done by the police for not wearing my seatbelt on the way to town

not impressed, neither is dp.

EmmyLou · 10/06/2006 15:16

Awww Nova - easily done Sad

What are the repercussions? Do you get fined or plead sleep deprivation? I often wonder when passing a drink back to dd3 whilst driving. why the police ban mobile phones in car and not children.

Poor you - and there we were thinking you may have had a better offer. We should arrange another meet up soon.

Auntymandy · 10/06/2006 15:23

why didnt I see this before! I might have come along.

EmmyLou · 10/06/2006 18:49

Auntymandy - I take it you would like to come along next time too?

Northerner · 10/06/2006 19:18

Hi Harrogatemum how are you? Not seen you posting for a while.

harrogatemum · 10/06/2006 20:11

Hi Northerner and everyone else - I have been away thats why not been posting, been to Borneo for a fortnight to meet up with DH's sis and family. Will come to the next meet up - hear it was good (was at bettythebuilders house today, she puts on a mean barbecue in between fixing it and building it!)

fullmoonfiend · 10/06/2006 20:26

Novocane - you poor thing, so sorry, hope you're not in trouble.
Koshka - I didn't realise you were s pregnant - feet up girl and take it nice and easy :)
Aunty Mandy, didn't realise til I saw your Harewood posting yesterday that you too were local. We'll let you know next time. (Might have to find a new vbenue though, eh Northerner and EmmyLou Wink
Harrogatemum - where are you from then? Grin Do you have twins, or am I thinking of someone else?

Hope everyone's had a lovely lovely day. We went to Ripon with some friends and all 6 little boys have had a fab day messing about on and in the water,

By the way, severe weather warning for our area for next few days - heatwave!!! Yay!
Asda was like the aftermath of Hurricane Chavtrina today - cram full of people in baseball caps piling boxes and boxes of beers into their trolleys like it was the end of the world...

notanotter · 10/06/2006 20:28

are you all young ?????

notanotter · 10/06/2006 20:29

{{{{{NotAnOtter debates whether to even consider showing her aged forehead}}}}}

fullmoonfiend · 10/06/2006 20:46

Notanotter - now we've HAD this conversation and you know that I am ageing almost as swiftly as you Grin

Glad you're here - want to pick your brains Is the Lido still open in your town? What's it like? Prices? Worth travelling to? Or are you too posh to go to a public open air pool :)Thanks if you can help

notanotter · 10/06/2006 20:53

fullmoonfield!! Yes it is and i have the burn to prove it Blush
Spent a few tortured hours ( 3 month old and toddler plus 3 others!) there yesterday and it was PACKED!!!!
my daughter kept wittering about how many chavs ther were! It is truly beutiful - quite ridiculous you look around you and its like something froma film the pool - the countryside - SO nice!!!
I take pack-ups but ther is a cafe - teas coffee chips!
3.90 for adults (!!!!!) and 1.90 for over 3's which i also moan about BUT you can easily make a full day out of it!
My kids have been there doing god knows what EVERY day for the last fortnight when the schools are off. I reckon its worth skiving kids the odd day in summer to go because its idyllic ...but when its packed its PACKED!!!
((Krista Ackroyd and calender were there yesterday!))
