Elective (advised) c-section Friday the 13th!

MABS · 31/01/2004 20:15

one of my best friends is being admitted on 12 Feb to have c/section on 17 Feb - if she makes it that far. i'll be up there visiting her a lot so our paths may cross after all... Very best of luck .

Gem13 · 31/01/2004 20:54

Thanks Mabs - I'm so excited, it can't come quickly enough!

Cam · 01/02/2004 10:45

Mabs, is it possible for you to book a table for the 15th, I think there's me, Custy, Debster, Noddy5 wanting to come as well as yourself of course. I have emailed Dannie so she may reply on here soon.

Tortington · 01/02/2004 18:22

mt cousin died on friday - and there is an autopsy and stuff on monday so i dont know when the funeral will be - if its end of next week or beginning of week after - i can still make 15th - if not and its tnearer the weekend of the 15th i wont be able to - cos i will be travelling up north to stop for a few days.

sorry i cant be more specific - will try to let you know by wednesday if i can

Cam · 02/02/2004 09:26

sorry to hear that Custy, hope you are not feeling too shocked. If you can't make the 15th we will delay the meetup.

MABS · 02/02/2004 21:18

so sorry Custy , we'll wait to haer from you and then rearrange if it's easier for you as Cam says. Take care

debster · 03/02/2004 09:30

Sorry guys have been offline for a few days. I don't mind doing the booking but will wait to hear whether Custy can make it on 15th. Are we all agreed on Quod as the venue then?

noddy5 · 03/02/2004 10:04

Quod is great we went there over christmas. No worries about when just as long as we can all make it easily.Lets wait for custys decision and then think again

the funeral i am going to is on monday so i would be able to come to the 15th - what time?
can i have directions please? ( i know where the newly refurbished clock is take it from there!!)

ta much

debster · 05/02/2004 11:41

OK then - 15th Feb it is.

So far I think the following people are going: me, noddy5, mabs, custardo and cam. Anyone I've missed?

If everyone confirms I'll give Quod a ring and book. Could everyone make it there for 12pm?

Custy - If you're standing at the clock tower looking at the sea then you need to go down the road on your left (North Street). Boots is on the corner. Keep going down this road on the left hand side and Quod is on the corner with New Road. It's huge - you can't miss it.

Look forward to meeting you all - gulp!

MABS · 05/02/2004 18:41

I'm fine for 15th, noon is good. Funnily enough went to Quod today , very good food but incredibly busy for Thursday lunchtime... always a good sign.

debster · 06/02/2004 09:17

Looks like it might just be me and you Mabs at this rate!

Did you have the £5 menu?

Cam · 06/02/2004 11:01

Yes please, I can come!

Tortington · 06/02/2004 14:45

count me in

noddy5 · 06/02/2004 15:01

debster · 06/02/2004 15:49

OK folks. It's booked. Sunday 15th February. 12pm. Quod Bar & Restaurant, 160 North Street.
Table for 5.

I booked the non-smoking section as I didn't know preferences. I am a smoker but am happy to go elsewhere for a fag. What do you all think? The very nice man on the phone said I can change the booking to the smoking section if necessary.

MABS · 06/02/2004 19:04

yeah I did have the £5 menu, but then had a £6 pudding, a gin and tonic and 3 coffees...rather negated any saving!

Fiver deal was nice, but not a very big portion to be honest! Looking forward to the 15th - will everyone be shattered after a heavy night on Valentines Day

Cam · 08/02/2004 16:35

Well done Debster, looking forward to meeting you and Noddy5. Non-smoking table is good. I will email Dannie to see if she can come. Can't wait to see Custy and Mabs again. Love Cam xxxxxxxxx

Dannie · 09/02/2004 13:22

I'm not ignoring you, honest! Don't think I can make it, but I didn't want to post a load of lame excuses. However, here they are: DS2 is an angel but not one of nature's great sleepers, so I'm v. tired. DS1 is going through a stroppy phase cos he suspects he may have competition for title of best boy in the world. DH is in major gloom over work, and I don't really feel I can take a day off. Please have several drinks for me

MABS · 12/02/2004 16:28

Debster - what name is the table booked in? I may be 10 mins late, but I will be there. Just need to take dd to her tennis lesson first... See you all then .

noddy5 · 13/02/2004 12:23

I have a dreadful chesty cough at the moment as have my dp and ds but I still feel ok and would like to come.Hopefully ill be better by sunday so unless anyone objects see you then

MABS · 13/02/2004 18:54

Don't worry Noddy , you can cough all you like near me...I'm surrounded by it at the mo at home!

debster · 13/02/2004 19:20

You pre-empted me Mabs. I logged on this evening specifically to let you all know the table is booked under the name of Debbie - that's me by the way!

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly noddy. I hope you will be able to make it. I've been off work for the last few days as I have managed to pull a muscle in my shoulder.

See you all on Sunday - unless we all get strciken by the plague in the meantime.

Tortington · 14/02/2004 19:07

cya there!
