Anyone else out there? Purpleturtle? SarahlouUK - I know you are from round here as you instigated the last meet but couldn't come.

purpleturtle · 05/06/2006 18:29

I should be able to make it - putting in a bid for a bring-a-picnic rather than the cafe at the Botanical Gardens though. Find the Curator's House pretty unfriendly, and waited half an hour for a tray of drinks last week, only for the coffee to be cold. (And we weren't the only ones).

katzg · 05/06/2006 20:35

Hula and i were discussing bring our own picnics - that what i'd prefer.

Happy for bring own picnic too - or we could go to Endcliffe Park and do picnic then coffee in cafe, service is usually reasonably quick there. I am happy to do either, or Purple was raving about puddings at Rivelin Valley the other day.....

katzg · 06/06/2006 09:12

we will be on foot or the bus - no car on friday, so something accessible from Crookes

Shall we stick with the Botanical Gardens then? And did we arrange a time yet?

katzg · 07/06/2006 12:03

not sure - i pick DD1 up at 11.30am

OP posts:
PandaG · 07/06/2006 17:35

Shall we say 12.30 then - I pick DD up at 12. I will have to leave at 2.45ish to pick up DS, unless I can wangle him an invite home with someone!

hulababy · 07/06/2006 22:55

12:30 is good for us too. I'll be in the car, tying to find a parking space.

sarahlou1uk · 09/06/2006 21:24

Sorry - didn't log on until too late then found out I'd missed you!! I shall have to keep looking at the meet ups topic for you all. Let me know if you arrange another one. PS. Rivelin is now extremely good but very expensive in the new cafe. I bought a chocolate bun, can of coke and a small ice cream the other day and it cost me over £4!!!! Paddling pool on the other hand is great value at no cost but a bit cold!! Grin

hulababy · 09/06/2006 21:49

Not been to Rivelin - where is it exactly?

Today at the Gardens was lovely. The children seemed to have a great time.

katzg · 09/06/2006 21:52

today was fab!

DD2 fought to go to sleep tonight aswell! finally got her down at 8pm!

she was up at 5.30am in case i forgot to mention it!

Glad she finally went down.

Naughty mummy time coming Blush DD has only just gone to bed! Friends and their DD from the estate popped in for drinks outside after dinner. Their DD and my DD played so lovely, and we just kept drinking. LOL!

sarahlou1uk · 10/06/2006 16:26

hulababy - Rivelin is in S6 area, near to the terminus of the Malin Bridge Tramline (blue line). It is a 10 minute walk to the paddling pools from the tramstop.

hulababy · 10/06/2006 22:52

Sounds good. Will have to have a look this summer.
