Eureka (Halifax) Meet in July/August - I have some free vouchers :)

I have just over 10 free child vouchers (one free child per adult ticket bought) for Eureka in Halifax. By August I may have more as our local paper also includes free child vouchers each week at the moment.

I wondered if anyone here fancies a meet up at Eureka this July or August, probably on a Friday?

If you haven't been Eureka is fab for children. The whole place is designed for them and nothing it out of bounds or no touch.

Going to put this on MO too as I know there are people who go on both and we have managed joint meets before

Anyone interested?

Brill. Think you'll like her, she's lovely!

Party was great. Really relaxed and laid back. All the food was eaten, the disco was brill as it was all 70's and 80's stuff. DD fell asleep in my arms on the dance floor at about 10 and slept from them until we got in the taxi home at midnight! DS played outside with his mates all night. Unfortunately DH sang 'Born to be wild' for us to 'enjoy'.....

hulababy · 11/08/2006 21:54

Sounds a wonderful party! Sorry we couldn't make it.

So, who is coming to this?

Hula, you mentioned going to Eureka to me before, but unfortunately I can't manage the 25th. Never mind, maybe next time!!!

I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time.

WatTylermoonfiend · 12/08/2006 18:05

Hula - just seen this and weirdly, was planning on taking my 2 on Friday! (If I know what time and where you are meeting, I might feel brave enough to come and say hello!) (normal name is Fullmoonfiend by the way)

hulababy · 12/08/2006 20:56

Do come along. We will be trying to get there relativly early, in case it gets busy and are planning to take picnics to eat on the train carriage. So will be there most of the day I would think, unless Eureka has out a time limiton the visits that day.

I'm still up for this with DS and DD, and am bringing my friend with her DD and 2xDS. What time are we meeting?? Can probably make it fairly early as friends youngest DS is a bit of an early riser and we are all travelling in her car.

Nemo1977 · 12/08/2006 23:20

is it still the 25th? should be able to afford it. if 18th will have to pass

laundrylover · 13/08/2006 11:32

Sorry to intrude girls but have you seen the terrible news about Yorkiegirls husband? Thought you should know as she was on this thread (I was lurking). Look under Miscarriage/bereavement.

hulababy · 14/08/2006 20:48

laundrylover - yes, I have, thanks for letting us know anyway. Have spoken with YG recently - she and her girls are now home, and hopefully her DH will be able to come home this week.

Wedgiesmum - not sure on exact times yet, but I reckon early is best. Anyone got any preference on times?

Eureka opens at 10am - so aiming to arrive around 10am.

Are we taking a picnic to eat in the train carriage?

And can we have a show of hands of who is going by Thursday - I will then take list with me so hopefully we don't miss anyone!

Very excited children here too. We should probably be there for 10 as long as the traffic obliges.

That will be me Ds and DD, my friend her DD and 2xDS.

Hula do you still have the same mobile number? Just in case we are running late?

hulababy · 24/08/2006 19:43

I think it is same one as last time.

hello Yorkie, hope the girls have fun. Have a good rest at your parents.

threelittlebabies · 24/08/2006 22:43

Oh ARSE

Just seen this, thought it had been cancelled as had not caught this thread for a while. So won't be able to make it unfortunately, no car tomorrow plus am having new tumble dryer delivered and really really need it!

Have a good time, hope to make the next meet up

hulababy · 25/08/2006 19:34

Sorry you missed it. I did keep bumping this week.

Had a lovely time. Great to see you again WM, and your friend. GB - DD and Katz's DD1 had a fab time playing with your DD.

It's fine hula, I can never keep up with MN threads! Hope you all had a good time

hulababy · 26/08/2006 10:57

It was great thanks.

Only problem was we did have to split into two sets of pairs in the end. The older children obviously wanted to do different things to the under 5s - and a fair bit of it is seperated. But we met up for a lengthy lunch outside ont he grass.
