Meet-ups

Shall we decide a date for another meet up? How about Friday 12th May?

Where does anyone want to go? Suppose it depends on the weather if we have toddlers with us doesn't it?
We could go to Leapfrogs or Jellybeans if it's bad weather - any suggestions for a different outdoor place or could do Cannon Hall again?

Hope to see you all soon plus anyone else!!

Just noticed that this clashes with the Sheffield meet up! BlushCan change it if anyone wants to do both or we could have parrallel ones!!

Sarah, that date is good for me. I wouldn't fancy going right to Sheffield (bit too lazy i'm afraid). Shall we see how many answer then plan a place? we'll go anywhere Smile

Chloe55 · 03/05/2006 12:49

I'm up for it too and that date is fine with me. Leapfrogs/Jellybeans or Canon Hall is fine. We mentioned maybe having a bit of a picnic if the weather is good - are we still up for that?

jobo17 · 03/05/2006 18:29

I've found the new thread! that date is fine with me. If it's a nice day it would be lovely to have a picnic at Canon Hall. But I don't have a toddler so if somewhere else is best for them, that's fine with me!

trace2 · 03/05/2006 21:28

wheres Leapfrogs or Jellybeans ??

lewsmummy · 03/05/2006 21:28

Date good for me. afternoon if poss cos dh off at morning but not a prob really. Will go anywhere, i've got a 12 week old baby btw

amber5 · 03/05/2006 22:03

turning into a good number of us - where to go?
i think we now have quite a mix of babies and tots. didn't you guys meet at the Eastfield Arms before? afternoons is better for us too.

sarahhal · 03/05/2006 22:07

Leapfrogs in Skelmanthorpe, Jellybeans in DenbyDale. Both Huddersfield really Grin

Love the idea of a Cannon Hall picnic but guess the weather could decide for us!

sarah, how old is your ds1? where does he like?

sarahhal · 03/05/2006 22:14

He's three on Saturday!!!

I think we prefer Jellybeans as there's more to do than just climb up and slide down!! Have you been? It's a pretty small place and not really hi-tech, with a small bouncy castle, ball pool, lots of Little Tykes cars/bikes/houses etc. The only downside is that it can get really busy, but I think that mornings are worse, so if we go in the aft it should be OK.

So that would be our choice! Smile

Sorry, meant to add if it's raining as he loves Cannon Hall. On a random note, we got married there actually so quite special for me too!!

happy birthday ds Grin
we like jellybeans too, just wondered whether there was anywhere everyone likes in Barnsley tho??

sarahhal · 03/05/2006 22:28

Oh it's nearly Barnsley!! Wink

The only place I can think of Barnsley way is the playplace at the Elsecar centre. Went to a party there and that was good but tbh is prob as far out of Barnsley as Denby Dale is.

OP posts:
amber5 · 03/05/2006 22:36

very true.
is ds1 having a party?

lewsmummy · 03/05/2006 22:38

I know there's funworld in mapplewell, barnsley i've not been so don't know wot it's like but trace2 has.

There's alphabet zoo and cheeky monkeys in wakefield or is wakefied not an option?

If weather nice picnic would be good.

sarahhal · 03/05/2006 22:38

At yet another play place, Cheeky Monkeys in Waterloo on the way into Huddersfield!

I can't belive he's 3, it's just gone so quickly (sob)

Nbg · 03/05/2006 22:42

Funworld is ok but you need to time it so that the kids aren't off school otherwise it's claustrophobia city in there!

Eastfield Arms is nice too and if you can get there for linch time you can pretty much gtee the play part and the back of the pub to yourselves.

Elsecar is lovely but like you said, just as far as Denby Dale and Skelmenthorpe.

My brother and sister in law are in Scisset so I must check out Jellybeans and Leapfrogs.

amber5 · 03/05/2006 22:46

we've been to them all!! my ds is 3y and loves 'play-barn'. i'm happy with where-ever everyone likes

lewsmummy · 03/05/2006 22:55

I'm not bothered where we go either, not much a 12 week old can do, ds is happy anywhere as long as he gets fed lol

lewsmummy · 03/05/2006 22:56

r u coming with us nbg?

Nbg · 03/05/2006 23:00

If it's local i.e. Funworld/Eastfield, otherwise I'll have to pass due to moving house nightmare that we are currently experiencing Grin

But please don't think that you have go there. Go where everyone else wants too Smile

lewsmummy · 03/05/2006 23:05

btw just realised i've not been on here since i changed my name, i was cuffyj1. Live in cudworth, barnsley. 1 ds (12 week)

Nbg · 03/05/2006 23:07
