Hi,

thanks for your message on the antenatal thread, I'm quite philosophical about the m/c tbh. This is the first time it's happened and only the 2nd month of trying for dh and I so I'm optomistic that everything will work out fine in the future.

Anyway, it would be lovely to meet up if you are around, I'd forgotton there was someone else from diss on here!

Hi there. I could meet up in school time - afternoons are best as dd has playgroup some mornings. I may be a bit hectic for the next couple of weeks as we've got the builders in but hopefully we might be able to fit something round that.
I've never done a meet up (I'm a scaredy cat) but I think I can just deal with one MNetter at a time!
What do you think to the Publishing House cafe?

ProfYaffle · 20/04/2006 13:29

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons would be best for us, we can do Wednesday or Friday if necessary but dd has nursery those mornings so may be tired and cranky.

The book shop cafe sounds good, the ducks outside will keep dd entertained for - ooh, seconds at a time!

I've not done a meet up either, there has been some efforts to organise a Norwich one but it hasn't actually happened yet. As you say though, one at a time is much more managable.

Let me know when you are free.

I was going to suggest a Wed or Friday! Dh is usually off on a Tue + thurs so often takes dd out. I can check with him if he is planning on working any of those in the next few weeks.
Will get back to you!

ProfYaffle · 20/04/2006 13:56

OK - no worries if it has to be Weds or Fri though. Maybe if the weather's nice we could get take out coffee from the Baker's Oven and go tot he park, I can release dd to race around and shriek to her heart's content.

OP posts:

Park sounds good. Dh is off today but he's popped back to work (he can't resist himself as it is just round the corner) and dd is asleep so it wouldn't make much difference to him if I was out!

ProfYaffle · 20/04/2006 14:11

He can't resist? Blimey, what does he do for a living? Test beer?

OP posts:
cupcakes · 20/04/2006 14:13

lol.
No, he has his own business and finds it hard to tear himself away.

ProfYaffle · 20/04/2006 14:23

Will await a suggested date with bated breath. Grin

It's really not very interesting. Don't want to get your hopes up!
He has a shop on Market Hill.

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 17:36

What about next Thursday?

ProfYaffle · 21/04/2006 18:40

Yep, Thursday fine by me. What time?

I have to pick dd up from playgroup at 12 so to give me time to get her home and give her lunch...2pm? I'm pretty sure ds has an afterschool club that week so I won't need to rush off straight away. If he doesn't have the club we should prob try to meet earlier as I'd have to pick him up at 3.
btw, no-one in RL knows I'm pregnant...

ProfYaffle · 23/04/2006 19:07

We're free all afternoon so 2pm is good for us but can do earlier if you need to.

It did cross my mind that you wouldn't have told anyone in rl yet, my lips are sealed.

Shall we meet at the Mere's mouth, then we can either go to coffee shop or park depending on the weather?

OP posts:
cupcakes · 24/04/2006 10:22

by the bench by the road or by the ducks? I haven't found out yet if ds has his afterschool club on Thurs yet. If he hasn't it'll need to be earlier (1-1.30?) and I'll have to rush!
Here's a weird question: does your dd have a red cosy toes with sheep (or similar) on?

ProfYaffle · 24/04/2006 16:53

Errr - yes, now I'm spooked!

OP posts:
cupcakes · 24/04/2006 16:55

God I feel like a stalker now. Do you have curly hair and glasses too?
I think you might live near me...

ProfYaffle · 24/04/2006 18:00

Yup, that's me. Have just been wracking my brains with dh, can't think who you could be though! Clues please ...

OP posts:
cupcakes · 24/04/2006 18:14

A long time ago you posted a photo of yourself with your dd and I looked at it to see if I recognised you - but I didn't. But recently I've seen who I think might be you around town and wondered. And now I think it is! I've seen you walking past my house quite a few times (I'm a real curtain twitcher Grin).
I don't think you know me. Without giving my address out I live on S. road, on the way into town. I have chin length brown hair, a 5 yo ds with long (for a boy) blond hair, a 3 yo dd (also long blonde hair) and a black lab.

When we meet you'll probably say you've never even seen me around!

ProfYaffle · 25/04/2006 14:12

he was off ill today so shall know tomorrow.

cupcakes · 25/04/2006 21:09

friend told me this evening that ds isn't going to this club on Thurs. Hopefullly dh can pick him up from school but maybe we should meet at 1.30 just to be on the safe side? Hope that's ok.

ProfYaffle · 26/04/2006 09:17

That's fine - see you tomorrow!

OP posts:
cupcakes · 26/04/2006 10:43

See you at 1.30 then. Dh may have to go into Norwich tomorrow so it's best to be on the safe side (I'll need to leave at about 2.40 if I'm picking ds up).
Weather looks nice.
