"survivors " meet up

Switching from the relatinship thread- i'm trying to arrange a meet up for those interested. A kind of support group if you like or just see it as a chance to have a break- for anyone who has been through the trauma of being cheated upon by their partner and is now trying to survive (either with or without them now)

The plan is to try and book a Sat to Sunday one night break somewhere as far as possible midway or at least accessable for those who show an iterest. we are aiming for mid/end of June or early July so if for now you could sat if you are interested and wher you are in the country, then I'll try and pin point a date and place- then look for a hotel.

right i'm up for it as long as its not my w/e to work. At the minute its not my w/e on but i think my hols will mess that up so will have to wait and see, but could do one or other of the days even if i couldn't stay over.

ok seems a few are available- I know it will be very difficult to get aweekend everyone can mange but so far no violent objections to manchester

shall we add 17th 18th june (weekend before) to the pot see if helps any

so who can do 17th 18th and /or 24th 25th June?

mmm will most def be working 17/18 as its the w/e after we come home from hols. but it would only be one of those days.

this is hard - to try get everyone accommodated
londwaytogo could you still come spend the night 17/18th?

lets also think about 8th/9th July? (I can't do last weekend in june)

how many could do that weekend?

The other problem may be hotels I've had a quick look at affordable ones - like travel lodge, Ibis etc may have to think about sharing to make it possible........can get some around £60 mark and they have restuarant and bar ie somewhere central to meet. Other bigger hotels are in the £100 plus range and if you go for single rooms it;s expensive!

Any views girls?

ok girls I'm going to pick a date- it's mainly based on availability of a reasonable proced hotel

Sat8th july to Sun 9th....sorry grannarybeck it's impossible to get everyone on the same date- perhaps we could do a day time meet up son as I know you're not too far fron me.

I've booked a room in the Ibis hotel mnachester Portland street (which is right in the cenre)
It costs £56.95 per room per night and extra £4.95 pay when there- if you want breakfast
the hotel has a bar and restaurant.
My room is for 2 persons- (if we get stuck- as rooms seem to be going fast in Manchester) the price is per room so i'd happily share if we can't manage to accommodate all however at the moment ther are loads of rooms.
You can book online with a credit card and can cancel right upto 7pm the day of arrival without a charge. Book in is 2pm out 12 noon next day.

I can't do links- sorry so I got to it like this:-
google- ibis manchester
1st link, local results (there are 3 ibis in manchester you are looking for the first listed, portland street)
references- click online hotel booking
enter manchester portland street and the date 08.07.20006
then in top left says reservations click and complete own details and cc details.

hope all ok I was thinking how to book for others but I think too complicated so best if we sort out our own as long as we all get the same hotel Ibis mancheter Portland Street-as I said you can cancel right upto the day so any last minute problems.

let me know if you've taken the plunge and booked then I'll sort out how many and maybe try resrve us somehere to eat that evening- I don't want to be alone! please join me.

That would be great GB- I'd hate you to miss out and we've tried but failed before to get together.
When I typed in the three dates we were looking at the July one gave us the best choice/prices of hotels and many could do that date.

just hope a couple more sign up- something to look forward to.
