Ok, so we have a venue, a growing list of those coming and Dances making lists.

I'm not going to give the address of the venue on this thread, but will put it in the FB Meet up Group and PM those who are not on FB. If you are and are not already in the group, please click the link and ask to be added and we shall do just that - just as soon as you have confirmed that you are coming and have made a payment of £20 to the Meet Up PayPal account.

The £20 will cover food (12-14ish decent sized canapés), anywhere between 2-4 drinks and, most importantly, cake. Depending on final numbers we have yet to decide whether to have a stock of paid for drinks - wine, beer, soft drinks perhaps, followed by a pay bar; or to do tokens of a set value that can be used for any drinks, again paying once you have used your tokens up.

The venue is just south of the river, next to Tower Bridge; BIWI, Pistey and I selflessly went and checked it out last week and it is lovely, great position and with easy transport to all London main line stations. Tube wise it has Northern Line, Jubilee Line and Circle/District lines running very close by.

With regard to food, when you have paid (please PM me or Pistey for the PayPal details as, again, I don't want to publish it for the world to see), could you please let me know any dietary requirements - allergies/vegetarian etc so that I can finalise the menu accordingly a couple of weeks before the bash.

Accommodation - we are hoping to sort out a group rate at a Travelodge, so if you are in need of a bed for the night, please do let me know and we can add you on to our list.

I will C&P the list of who is coming after this post. If you are coming and are not on it, please add yourself.

I can picture: BIWI, Getorf (I wanted to talk to you but felt too scared - too glam, too young, too able), (very confused about Justine ), dances, dollytwat, triplets, juggling, Hearts (oh I loved talking to you hearts), Annie (my angsty compatriot - you know what I mean), Beachy, Porto, Blondes (sorry - didn't get the chance), Hully, Pag, Mrs DeV (I know you clocked me - but you were too glam too), Bewitched, Kenny P, White Peackock. If I have forgotten anyone, no offence meant, it just passed too fast in a hectic, wonderful blur.

It felt a bit like coming home x.

It's true me and Getorf got ready in a flurry of belongings after getting lost!
For me it was a bit like a glamorous one night stand because she was GONE when I woke up!

Without her to guide me through the tube nightmare I had to just get a taxi!

Dolly I got a cab too because they had been announcing loads of underground closures for Sunday when I arrived. So I got a cab who confidently drove me half way across London bridge, hit a road closure and said 'sory love, I fucked it. I'll let you out here'

That is so funny re one night stand. I tried my hardest not to make any noise to wake you up dolly and ended up crashing around and wincing. I did pick a load of stuff off the floor and tried to act with all the nonchalance of Linda Fiorentino in Last Seduction. [Grin]

I wish had looked at the tube closures - was pissed off to get to Tower Hill and find it closed, had no idea which was the nearest station so decided to walk to monument (based on the premise I could see the monument itself in a city of skyscrapers twat ) and ended up at Aldgate somehow.

It was such fun though - really liked Southwark, had never been there before but was a great night out.

Biwi, you must be a bit jaded after your many mumsnet meetups of last week. Ours was true class and quality, wasn't it? Small but perfectly formed. You told me some intriguing gossip which I have somehow forgotten - can't think how that happened . Might have to pm you .

Did I? Goodness, I have no recollection of that! Which pretty sums up how my week was, actually.

And the scales and my performance at the gym today were a dreadful lesson as to the 'benefits' of chips and alcohol

Oh dear, but am sure you are right back on the straight and narrow.

I am feeling even more porky than usual after a weekend of indulgence and delicious chocolates and I had to abandon one of my fast days last week because it fell the day after the Farringdon event. No way can you get through a hangover on 500 calories .

It would be great to have a Christmas one but it would have to be organised now wouldn't it, for next month.
