Hi
I have a 14 month old daughter and live in Essex. Me and my husband moved into the area from London 18 months ago and haven't had the opportunity to make any new friends.

Would be great to hear from any local mums who would like to meet up for a coffee and a gossip and for our kids to play!!!
Please get in touch!!!

Flynnie that would be great...Shall we try to arrange something for after the easter holidays around the middle of April? That way we might get a few more people able to attend as well. What places are quite child friendly in Brentwood? Possibly Starbucks or cafe Nero...let me know what you think and if anyone else wants to come along?

Flynnie · 27/03/2008 12:40

Cafe Nero would be a good idea. though slightly smaller it a lot cleaner then starbucks iykwim!
April is a good idea.....so count me in.

Hi

I have recently moved to worcester park, surrey from Wolverhampton. I have a 20 month old daughter and a second baby on the way. I work part-time and I would like to meet up mums with children as a way of making friends for myself and my daughter.

MSG for Tahira

Do you want to meet up in Sutton/worcester park over the next few weeks?

Hi - I'm not a mum but came across this forum and hope someone can offer some advise.
I'm 29 and living with my boyfriend in Essex. He works shifts and I often get bored and lonely in the evenings and at weekends. I have found it quite difficult to make friends in the past and so only have 2 friends that I met at college over 10 years ago ? but sadly we all live opposites sides of London so meeting up can be quite sporadic.
Just wondered if anybody knew of a forum like this for young adults to meet new friends? I have tried typing it in to Google, but it only comes up with dating sites!
I?m very normal ? got a job as a PA in Enfield, own my own flat etc - just find it difficult to make new friends in this fast moving world of ours!!
Not to worry if no-one can help, just thought I?d ask.
Many thanks, Caroline

Hi Plumtree29!
Hope you see this as it's been a few weeks since you posted this!
I don't know of any sites I'm afraid, but although I am a mum I am sort of in a similar situation. Until last August (left to have baby no.2) I had spent the last 15 years working (and socialising) in London, so most of my friends are dotted about around the home counties, but none close by. I am near Brentwood ... whereabouts are you?
