Hi Ladies

My dh is in the forces and we've just found out we're being posted to Northwood (PJHQ). Does anyone have any experience of living in a forces life here, or just living here normally?

TBH I'm a bit nervous about the move - we've been in Germany for the past 2 years and it took me ages to feel settled. However, now I've got a really fab group of friends whom I see almost daily, with kids the same age - I've a 2year old ds and am due no2 in August...

I was just wondering what the area is like in general - does anyone here live there, or nearby?

Anyone want a new friend? I'm dead nice, honest!!!

all advice/info/warning off gratefully received!

Thanks.......

I'm 33 and almost moved to harrow (really close to nwood). Cld also do with making new friends as new to area though went to school nearby. Id say quite a lot of good parks if you have a car, aquadrome, playcentres/pools in watford /harrow, think schools are generally ok. Don't know Northwood so well always thought it was really posh when I was younger. Did used to drink in the Garden? gate once in a while.

Have dds who are one and three. They don't mind boys though!

Hi rafwifey, I lived in Northwood for about a year and half when my DH was there (but did not have children at the time). I'm really busy this evening but, hopefully, I will be able to find the time to write a proper reply tomorrow.

Anything in partucular you would like to know about Northwood or the surrounding area?

hi Rafwifey, I have a 2yr old ds and will be moving to pinner, near Northwood, in the summer (hopefully). My sister lives there already and has a ds(2yrs) and dd(2mths) and she knows a lot about the area and what there is to do. would you like to contact her? Do I leave her e'mail address here?

IMHO I would not put her email address here

as anybody on the WWW can read it

Send it by CAT instead

but if you do decide to put it here put it spaced out
