count me in.

bobbybobbobbingalong · 14/02/2006 07:19

Excellent - another Wednesday?

What about 22nd February in the morning?

Suggestions welcome - I am easy as long as a toilet is close by (yes, Bob is still potty training but I promise not to talk about it)

Okay - it's all on for Wednesday, I've asked Georginars and she is in. Any other ideas for an activity. TBH you have all got wonderful little children who will love doing anything - so what will give us the most chance for a chin wag?

bubblegumcheeks · 17/02/2006 03:00

bubblegumcheeks · 18/02/2006 01:20

bobbybobbobbingalong · 18/02/2006 02:27

er

Hagley Park playground - bring swimming costumes and sunblock for children if nice.

Or

If raining and murky and nasty meet just inside museum.

I will post on the day which it is to be.

is all fine by me.
We have just been to the playground for some paddling today and she loved it - have already planned to go back with proper swimming togs.
and there's the cafe too for chatting
see you all on Wednesday

bobbybobbobbingalong · 18/02/2006 02:58

Sounds like you are having a great time Georginas.

actually we decided yesterday that we are going to move here, and told my parents. very excited (although not about the gruesome practical details about moving and also the essential huge diet that await me when I get back to the UK)

bobbybobbobbingalong · 19/02/2006 06:02

Oh, how exciting! What's your timescale?

Not sure I understand why you have to have a huge diet in the UK though.

georginars · 19/02/2006 09:33

Well we're going to start sorting out our flat to sell as soon as we get back plus DH is going to start actively looking for jobs. we have stuff planned up until a friend's wedding at the end of July so we're looking to get over here sometome soonish after that - August onwards, depending on how organised we can be. I think we need to crack on with it so as not to get bogged down, also will run out of money fairly soon otherwise.

the diet is really nothing to do with moving to NZ, it was just on my mind earlier (and I was a teensy bit drunk earlier after my parents' lunchtime drinks thing....) as part of of my whole 'new start, new life' plan. NZers seem such healthy types, feel I ought to start sorting myself out in preparation and stop blaming someone who's nearly 15 months old for my lardiness

bobbybobbobbingalong · 19/02/2006 17:17

Ah, much easier to wait until you get here and then join the kiwis in their obsessive walking, biking and hill running.

OP posts:
georginars · 20/02/2006 09:43

hill running - grim. never going to happen!

bobbybobbobbingalong · 21/02/2006 18:11

Hill walking?

Anyway - weather looks nice so pack those togs and I'll meet you at the playground. Please don't tell my parents we met on the internet - my father read my diary when I was 15 and I'm sure that searching the mumsnet archives would be much more interesting.
