chjlly · 24/01/2006 16:03

I was hoping to move this weekend - it may still happen if the offer comes through in the next hour!!
It is near the centre of eastleigh and also close to the M3. We chose Eastleigh because I work in Fair Oak, Dh works in Farnborough & it is easy to get on the M3/M27 down to Bournemouth/Poole plus Eastleigh was a bit cheaper than some of the areas as we have just moved back from Scotland where things were a lot cheaper!

Emelie · 24/01/2006 16:14

i know that area, as i get off the m27 at eatsleigh, or the m3 for eastleigh.......... so do you work full or part time???

how many children do you have ?

chjlly · 24/01/2006 16:17

I work full time
I have ds (4) and dd (2)

chjlly · 24/01/2006 20:49

We kind have seemed to taken over this thread

are we going to have a meet up or was I too much of a liability last time

Surfermum · 25/01/2006 00:06

No, you must come Chjlly, even if it's all the way from Eastleigh. I want to learn that trick with the elastic band and the office chair.

I will investigate the wine bar on the way home from toddler group tomorrow.

chjlly · 25/01/2006 08:45

Are you going to check they have adequate fire insurance too

I'll bring the paper clip & elastic band - you can bring the chair!!

bunny3 · 25/01/2006 17:55

right Surfer, dates pls?????

ps what did your No1 fan say to you in Bumbles again?

imogen1327 · 26/01/2006 07:19

Please excuse the american accent Just stumbled on to this site and am in dire need of advice. I married one of your lot and brought him back to live on the west coast of the US 7 years ago. We have a dd of 3.5 and am coming to visit the MIL in Cranford Cliffs this Sunday for 15 days. MIL will not babysit and DH will leave for biz trip to Brussells for 5 days. DD needs members of own tribe as do I. Looking for playdates , hook ups and advice. Any ideas?

SPARKLER1 · 26/01/2006 12:15

Hi Imogen. That sounds like a lovely idea. I have two dds of 6 and 4. If it's a daytime meet up then we would be looking at a Tuesday morning, Thursday afternoon or all day on a Friday. She is at preschool, swimming lessons etc the rest of the time.
There are lots of indoor playareas around Poole so I'm sure a venue won't be a problem.
Anyone else up for it?

SPARKLER1 · 26/01/2006 12:16

@ MIL not babysitting

catj · 26/01/2006 13:45

Hello Imogen (and everyone else ).I'm around most of the time as I'm a SAHM to twin girls aged 2.6.
(I'm up for the evening meet-up too BTW )

SPARKLER1 · 26/01/2006 15:48

BTW ladies - I'm having an Ann Summers party at mine on Monday 6th at 8pm. Feel free to come. I did send emails to Bunny, Jodee and Surfermum but for some reason my mails to ntl.com are being delayed.

SPARKLER1 · 26/01/2006 20:53

Hi - anyone out there tonight?

imogen1327 · 27/01/2006 06:02

Thank you so much for hearing to my pleas for help. I promise to respond in kind if you end up on my doorstep (Portland Oregon). I look forward to meeting all of you, big and little! I am madly laundering and packing as we depart day after tomarrow. I will keep checking in.

Flamesparrow · 27/01/2006 09:44

Do we have a date or anything in mind?

Chjlly - any ideas about your move date yet? (not meaning to hassle you...)

I'll pass on the ann summers - normally it sounds good, but for some reason I can't see very lumpy me enjoying it so much!!!

Flamesparrow - no mortgage offer still
but hoping to complete next friday now.
I will sort something out and still pick the fridge up this weekend though.
Can we have the meet up next week or is that too short notice? then I can have a few drinks (I need it at the mo!)

Flamesparrow · 28/01/2006 10:02

I can't find your number anywhere, then bloody NTL went down... been trying to get hold of you to say that its fine to leave it til next weekend if that is easier.

Thanks Flamesparrow! Our NTL has only just come back up I'm not avoiding you honest

Are you sure that you are ok with it til next weekend I can come and collect it tomorrow if you want

Jodee · 28/01/2006 18:32

S*dding NTL - RANT RANT RANT! Apart from going down last night, they keep on doing that automated dialling thingy and clogging up my ansamachine with blank messages, and no email message from you at all, Sparkler, I;m afraid. , but just to let you know I won't be able to make the AS party unfortunately (are you having another one anytime soon?!!)

SPARKLER1 · 28/01/2006 19:33

LOL Jodee! Sorry you can't come to AS. Not planning another one at the moment. You could always place an order if you wish - just let me know what you want on this thread and I'll get it for you. I'm sure everyone will be addint this thread to their watch list to see what you'll be getting. PMSL!!!

mumlove · 28/01/2006 19:47

Hello to everyone. Why oh why did we have to be on NTL......... I lost my lovely relaxing time on friday evening after the mindees had gone home and DD in bed!!

Where are you thinking of having a meet up with imogen1327? As I would like to come if I can make it.

catj · 28/01/2006 20:00

I thought it was a bit quiet round here. NTL doesn't extend to the wilds of Corfe Mullen .
I went to an AS party last night and there's some nice stuff in the new catalogue-shame I can't fit into any of it at the mo
