Calling all Kent mums - fancy meeting up in Faversham?

This is for those who have come before and any that haven't that would like to. The very missed Fio2 has expressed an interest in coming. We have previously met up in a Weatherspoons pub that does not bad food and has a big non smoking dining area.

Who else?

Depends on day and timing. I have the school run to do here in Maidstone and I work on certain days of the week. Any specific dates in mind?

Cadbury · 21/01/2006 17:32

well, would doing it in Half term help? Maybe a Thursday or Friday?
How's that for you Freckle?

And what about Aero? Turq? will text Fio when we have a date, compo? Rickman (I promise I'll make my children be well behaved this time), any other Kent mumsnetters?

Half term possible but will have a 12, 10 and 7 yo in tow. Plus it is DS1's birthday on 14th!

Mondays or Fridays are best for me during term-time, provided I can get back for 3pm.

Cadbury · 23/01/2006 17:50

fridays would be best for me in term time

what about Turq?
Rickman?
Aero?
Compo?
any other kent girlies?

Don't think I'm going to be able to make this ladies as I'm working in the week at the moment. Will lt you know if this changes

Cadbury · 23/01/2006 18:58

is that likely to be the case for a while?

OP posts:
compo · 23/01/2006 19:04

Yes - unfortunately we need the cash!! Although the morning sickness is getting worse so perhaps I should skive some time off!!!

Cadbury · 23/01/2006 19:15

I think you should - for your health's sake of course. I think it would be most beneficial to meet up with other mums for mutual support and lunch
I would have thought a Friday would be the ideal time for this - to gain maximum benefit

Caligula · 23/01/2006 19:29

Depends on date and time.

Turquoise · 24/01/2006 12:03

I can't do fridays - college .
Caligula - I didn't realise you were from round here - whereabouts if that's not too nosy and stalky?

Cadbury · 24/01/2006 12:08

Oh righto.

We originally met in Fav as those going could all get there by train or by car (for those who drove).

If you can suggest somewhere else that most people can get to by car or public transport with children, then please do

Hi Cadders how are you doing?

Hasn't Maidstone just had a whole fancy new shopping centre open up? Could you get there Cadbury?

Turquoise · 24/01/2006 12:25

Oh and dayswise I can generally do most other days except friday, assuming I don't land the job of my dreams in the meantime

Cadbury · 24/01/2006 12:37

I can get to Maidstone on the bus - do you think Fio2 could get there? Not sure of where transport goes to from her area other than Faversham

I can do Thursdays provided I am back by 3pm

OP posts:
Turquoise · 24/01/2006 12:45

Fio is now terrorising other roadusers in her new car, or else I could bring her.
Freckle and Rickman can only do mondays though = are mondays out of the question for you?

Cadbury · 24/01/2006 12:54

yes, ds is at preschool and has to be picked up at midday

my babysitters (parents) both work on Mondays

OP posts:
Cadbury · 24/01/2006 12:54

Goodness, Fio2 loose on Kents roads - now there is a thought.
