Anywhere really but prefer not to go into b'ham city center if possible as it allways makes me feel really nervous (don't know why)

cranberryjampots · 04/01/2006 23:46

me too mummyhill. I hate the city centre and its years since Ive been so would probably get lost anyway

Ailsa · 05/01/2006 00:37

don't mind where

MadameButterfly · 05/01/2006 20:59

20th is good for me. Don't mind where, as long as I can get there by public transport.

Ronniebaby · 06/01/2006 21:52

Ok without going into the city centre, we could go up the Hagley Road, not sure of any places, but it is outside the centre.

Otherwise, there is a Frankie & Benny's on the Tyburn/Kingsbury Road, or a really nice pub in Minworth called The White Horse.

Looking at a Map, for the area's people are coming from Brum is the most easiest, but if not Brum then without going to Smethwick/Alum Rock etc.

Tell me what you think. If you put these postcode into a map website you can find it and see what you think.

The White Horse
Kingsbury Rd, Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B76 9DS

Frankie & Bennys
Showcase Cinema Park, Kinsgbury Rd, Erdington, Birmingham, West Midlands B24 9QE

MadameButterfly · 06/01/2006 22:57

I will go with the majority, but the last bus to Curdworth leaves Birmingham at 6.31pm, arriving at the White Horse at 7.01pm

mummyhill · 07/01/2006 09:20

White horse or f&b's are good for me. Madamebutterfly where are you based atm? If it's not to far from whimsy and myself I don't mind giving you a lift.

Ronniebaby · 09/01/2006 23:31

MH - MB is in Aldridge, so not a million miles, just over the hill from the Beacon (sort of)

I'm easy, I can get to both those places, we'll see if/what people post, if they fancy those then we'll choose one, if not we'll choose one closer maybe??

I'm just trying to think of the majority and those coming from south!!!!

mummyhill · 10/01/2006 08:21

Okey dokey I can take the kids seats out of the car for the evening and squeeze one more in as it will probably be the last time I can do n evening meet as I am going back to work on 13th feb.

LunarSea · 10/01/2006 15:11

Wherever - as long as it's easy to find, and there's asomewhere to park.

mummyhill · 10/01/2006 18:36

Both are fairly easy to find and have their own car park.

MadameButterfly · 13/01/2006 12:57

THanks for the offer MH, that would be brill.

mummyhill · 13/01/2006 13:15

Any time. CAT me and we will make all the necessary arrangements.

Ronniebaby · 14/01/2006 18:07

Right are we still doing the 20th Jan ????

Any pref, if Lunarsea is coming the White horse I think maybe easier, as she can come off the motorway jctn 9, turn left, follow the road for about 1 - 2 miles and its there on the right in the dip. For the others, its just up the tyburn road to Minworth, right at the roundabout, on that road about 2-3 miles on the left.

Let's perhaps confirm things us so we all know what's occuring

mummyhill · 14/01/2006 22:03

DH thinks he has a meeting that night will get him to double check and let you know.

Ailsa · 15/01/2006 13:28

I'm still coming.

mummyhill · 15/01/2006 20:09

I have a transport issue. I can come as mil will have children till dh can take over but he needs the car.

nutcracker · 15/01/2006 20:26

I can't come i'm afraid because a) I am working, and b) it is dp's birthday (had forgotten that ).

MeAndMyBoy · 15/01/2006 21:04

Hi sorry to barge right in here. I have just spotted this and am a midlands girl - warks. If you do this again I'd love to come.

h x

Ronniebaby · 15/01/2006 21:20

Oh dear MH that is a problem, I have no idea's what to suggest and you offered MB a lift, so that means that 2 of you might not be coming.

OK if its Ailsa & Lunarsea & me only, then we could meet up in Solihull, maybe Touchwood, or even try that Coach & Horses - as LS previously suggested.

If MH & MB are coming then we'll keep it at the White Horse.

Need to know as I have to let DH know.

mummyhill · 16/01/2006 16:01

Sorry, Didn't realise dh had a meeting for the karate assocation that night as he hadn't put it on the calender. Not very happy with him at all. Especially as I like to treat myself on pay day! The white horse is not easy for me to get to by bus.

Ronniebaby · 17/01/2006 22:58

The only downside now is this was sort of pencilled in for THIS friday 20th, yet no-one is actually saying yeh or nay, so we may have to cancel it and re-arrange for another time.

LunarSea · 18/01/2006 15:22

yeh!

Ailsa · 18/01/2006 20:13

I think we should re-arrange, I'm feeling a bit rough anyway.

Ronniebaby · 18/01/2006 21:25

I feel its prob better to re-arrange, so now then can we have some dates.

PLEASE check diaries and hubbys/partners diaries, select a few dates and pencil them in both diaries as a safe bet

I can do most week, can't do 27th Jan.

Can do 30th Jan, 3rd Feb, 6th, 8th or 10th Feb
