EALING REVIVING THE THREAD

MrsBigD · 08/12/2005 15:13

The Ealing meet-ups have died a fretful death as far as I can see. Shall we try and revive meet-ups for the New Year?

I'm sure everybody is way too busy until then

See you all around!

Clinic is fine. Measles was given by the doc (who did dd's jabs 3 years ago) he's really nice. Mumps was given by nurse, who's really nice too and didn't bat an eyelid when dd went into screeching banshee before she even got stuck

They used to be up Gillet Corner (much better for us!) Wish normal GP's offered the singles on a profitable basis but that's another thread and debate

So where shall we all go out and when... I could certainly use a night of fun with the girls. Work is busy, and home life isn't exactly relaxing. So I'm really interested in this ealing meet-up.

(Sorry again about the subject hijack, but trying to get it back on track with this post)

uwila · 25/01/2006 11:30

Hope I didn't kill this.

Nanou1 · 25/01/2006 13:09

hello there. you did not kill it uwila! sorry but must pull out for this week. could we say thur 2 feb 2006 7.30 in the common rooms by ealing common station? let me all know what you think? have a nice day!

uwila · 25/01/2006 21:53

Bump! I know there are more Ealing people out there.

MrsBigD · 26/01/2006 11:03

I'm here

I'm fine most evenings next week and the week after.

Nanou... Ealing proper would be better as more central I believe and more busses

Come on you ealing mothers/women! Come out and play!

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 27/01/2006 09:14

hi all. am easy! it was just to get the ball rolling. any idea for proper ealing anyone?!

joec · 27/01/2006 09:52

hi sorry to hijack your post.
nanou1. have text u a couple of times and no reply. is everything ok????

unicorn · 27/01/2006 09:55

I'll come out to play... not on a Tuesday though.
Do we want to eat, or just drink?

(I'm staying dry for a bit though..I've nearly done the whole month !)

uwila · 27/01/2006 10:39

I want to eat. I'll be hungry after work. Somewhere cheap would be good.

How about Wed. 8th Feb.? Say 7:00? I don't know Ealing very well so it would probably be better if someone else suggests a place.

MrsBigD · 27/01/2006 13:02

Wednesday 8th Feb is fine for me too

How about 'Bella Pasta' in Ealing (close to town hall)?

It's reasonably priced, has food and most importantly ... wine

Otherwise there is Pizza Express in Bond Street or was it the other side street? I always mix them up.

And for you Unicorn they also do soft drinks or can we entice you to 'fall off the wagon'?

uwila · 27/01/2006 15:18

unicorn · 27/01/2006 17:25

you can e-mail me at uwila at hotmail dot co dot uk.

MrsBigD · 29/01/2006 18:25

I was going to book a couple of day in advance once we got an idea of how many will come

How about booking under 'Ealing Mums' or 'Mumsnet'?

I'll be the short, round, dark short haired one looking exhausted and clinging to a glass of wine whilst staring into nothingness over the rim of my glasses

Oi, BigD... you are messing with my reputation on Mumsnet.

And I can confirm that MrsBigD is in fact NOT "round" as she claims further down on the thread.
