OK how about either a day time meet at a ball pool or an evening meet minus children (or even both if you think you can manage it).

  1. Who's interested

  2. where are you so we can choose a convenient location somewhere central.

  3. When?

Lets see if we can save Ronnie the headache of organising us all this time round cause she is lovely and I don't want her to have a melt down.

Well dd had a ball playing on the slide and swings and when Jenny the parakeet said "hello jenny" back she thought it was hilarious,
quick teabreak then back to the swings and peacocks. there were a few other kids out playing, but it was very quiet.
shame the lurgy killed the meet but here's to the next one.
wasnt there another meeting sans kids planned ?

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 18:15

Oh b*gger - I totally missed this thread, even though you emailed me Carl! I wrote the wrong date down - I thought it was tomorrow

What am I going to tell ds1???

Arrgghhh. Really sorry Carl!

carlk · 06/01/2006 18:48

Tell him we'll go anyway, I have Amy all day again. We can go any time. Amy loves it there

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 18:53

When do you want to go?

I am free over the weekend and then not so much as Jonath is starting school nursery on monday!! (I am still in shock over that!) and his hours will be 12.25 -3pm so will be awkward to get out, but weekends are good (cept when dh is working cause we wont be able to get there then)

What is there to do at the botanical gardens in winter? Hope thats not a dumb question

Did you get my text?

carlk · 06/01/2006 19:06

tommorrow is good I've replied to your text.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 19:39

sorry was trying to save tea (dont ask - my cookings not great!) have replied xx

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 19:43

Have a think about if/when you want to meet up in Birmingham for that guided tour, Tamba ... I know it can't live up to larking around in the Botanical Gardens with Carl but hey, you can't have everything

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 19:59

oooh Wiggy, anytime

DH is off tomorrow (but I think im meeting Carl then ) Sunday - but the shops will be closed. Next saturday is my birthday so dh has the day off although he wont mind if i spend the morning shopping, could take my birthday money with me and then he is working saturdays for the next for weeks so after then. Its up to you, I can probably work round you

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 20:08

I can pretty much make any Saturday morning ... nice and early mind you, none of this laying around in bed until all hours first

If your dh would be OK with you coming in on your birthday when he's taken the day off then that would be OK (says she, having not checked with dh yet )

Have you found out where your bus stops yet?

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 20:16

hehe - the bus stops at the end of my road wouldnt know where to get off though! Although im sure the bus driver would point me in the direction of the bull ring Its more the cheap shops that I want to find though, like primark cause I am a terriable shopper - I spend loads, cause I like to be buying new clothes and I like lots of them so I want to spend less and buy more Besides the stuff i usually buy is awful! Shocking Pink skirt anyone?... No didnt think so so at least I wont have wasted to much monet on my impulse buys

(gosh I dont half ramble on - you sure you want to spend a morning with me )

Saturday the 14th sounds fine, Dh wont mind I think the point of him taking the day off work are:

Its a great excuse for a day off work
So I can do nothing in the way of child care or house work
So he can pander to my every need - and one of them is to go shopping

Hes ordered (well let me order) my birthday pressie already! its this cant wait for it to arrive!

If you cant make that day then thats fine, we can arrange another time

How would I recognise you by the way? cause I am definatly not walking up to people and asking if they are 'wigwambam'

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 20:25

I'll bring me ear plugs

Primark is fine ... the Bull Ring is worth a mooch as well though, if only for a coffee in Borders.

How will you recognise me? Well, I'll wear a rose in my lapel and a rolled up copy of the Times under my arm and ... nah, can't be arsed. I'll be the very fat woman with the crow's feet, wrinkles, brown hair, glasses and the black coat. You'll be the purple and yellow dragon, yes?

I can let you have my mobile number before then, you can ring and let me know where to meet you and we can take it from there ...

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 20:53

Why arnt you on line??

Do you want to come to the botanical gardens tomorrow, I am meeting Carl there

Hmmm still dont know how I would pick you out of the crowd... maybe you could wear a silly hat?? lol

Yep, will be happy to give you my mobile number

hmmm not much of a cofefe person, now if they do a good hot chocolate then im happy (also am quite lazy and everyso often will make an excuse to sit down for a couple of minutes )

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 20:59

I can't get on MSN at the moment, PC having one of it's regular hissy fits and refusing to open Messenger. Hopefully I can catch you in the next couple of days and give you my mobile number, otherwise I'll email you.

I can probably dig you out a photo if it would help to recognise me, but I warn you, it will probably crack your PC screen

Lazy ... sounds fine, any excuse for a sit down and a hot chocolate!!

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 21:14

My msn does that sometimes too

If you want to come to the botanical gardens tomorrow then we are meeting there at 10.30am, oh and Carl says i should ask you about a calender??...

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 21:16

Ah ... the calendar. Well, I could send you the calendar picture ... except all I'm wearing in it is a red hat and a pair of shoes

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 21:18

OMG really?????

I have got too (in the least pervy way possible ) see that calender!!!!!

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 21:22

It's really not that exciting ... have a look here , if you need it the account name is wigwam and the password is mumsnetter.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 21:29

Are you the one in the red hat?

Now, as long as you are naked when you come shopping it will no who you are lol or alternativly wear that red hat - you can miss it!!

You do drama then? Thats something I would really love to do

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 21:29

gah my spelling cant

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 21:32

Local Little Theatre - Highbury in Sutton, you might have come across it ... before dd I acted and did Stage Management, up until a couple of months ago I wrote all the programmes for the last 7 years. I can't get to do much these days.

Carl works with someone else who was in another of the pictures.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 06/01/2006 21:37

this is me

There is a theater not too far from where I live, Im not sure if I would have the confidence though.

Which one was Carls mate?
