To all the Mnetters going through Croydon to the meet-up tonight

As far as I can gather we are going to meet at the ticket barriers in East Croydon station at 6. I will be wearing a black fake astrakhan coat and have long fairish hair. I am looking forward to meeting you all!

I opted for the ticket barriers as I'll be starting from either Purley or Riddlesdown, so will probably be on the wrong side! No idea what I'll be wearing yet.

Just wondering about the time though - it's only 15/20 minutes to Victoria and I guess we'll grab a black cab? How about meeting at 6:30 with the aim of getting the 18:42 train? We'll be at Victoria by 7 and have plenty of time to get to the restaurant?

Can I just have a quick check on who's joining in for a cab back - so far Delgirl, Essbee and myself? - what about stitch and carmenere?

(Currently my cab is booked for 11:30 - I can only do 2am if I don't arrive before 9pm! However if the bar is definitely open I'm happy to mve to 12 or 12:30).

Hi Ladymuck - where are you getting the cab from and to? I'm in Purley and was just planning on getting the train back and a cab or a lift (dp) from the station.

Cab from restaurant back to home (Purley) stopping off at Carshalton (Delgirl), and probably heading on towards Essbee's (assuming we're in vaguely the same time zone).

I don't ever seem to be that lucky with trains - end up at East Croydon waiting for a black cab forever and then it is £12 for a 10 minute ride.
Also I prefer the option of not having to take responsibility for finding the right train etc/waking up at the right station.

Well my quote was restaurant to home which was £32. It will be more if there are detours.

How about we (all) have a chat on the way there and then I can call the cab company and amend the booking? I just wnated to have a booking ahead of time as I wanted to know I would definitley get home!

I thought that the booking was for 7:30? Did it change?

Ok lets talk about it when we meet. The restaurant is booked for 7 afaik so would prefer to meet around 6. we could always go for a swift one if we are to early

hi all,
can i meet you guys at victoria? if i got to east croydon first, it will take me much much longer... and i dont want to walk into the restaurant on my own.
my bil is giving me a lift back.so i can probly fit someone else in the car as well. and the plan is that i phone him half an hour or so before i plan to leave.

What about meeting stitch at the bottom of the escalator which goes up to the shops and food court (near platforms 15-19). We'll probably be coming from one of those platforsm anyway?

Delgirl - my mistake - I couldn't work out why everyone was meeting so early, until it was pointed out that the restaurant is for 7pm, and not 7:30.

So 6pm at the ticket barriers at East Croydon, 6:30 at the bottom at the escalators at Victoria for stitch.
