Subject just about covers it

Have been a member of mumsnet for a while, a llurker more than a poster though. Am in Southampton over this weekend (know most of you will be swanning off to london!) and was wondering if anyone fancies the new Harry Potter film on Fri 25th Nov (tea time/eve.)

My long weekend is with my mum and dad, and the film isn't their sort of thing. Really want to see it, but would rather go with SOMEONE Know it's a long shot, but anyone interested? Live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, please someone save me from having to see HP in our really rubbish cinema??

One last bump....after this I'll look too sad!

not sad at all ETsmum! I'm in Southampton but really busy over that weekend with a family party - also haven't seen any of the other HP films so you'd have to spend the whole time explaining what was going on
There are a few Sotonians around here so if you keep this bumped you may well find some takers.
Good luck

Thanks for replying Tommy And how can you have not seen any of the HP films?? Hope the family do goes well anyway.

Hello, I LOVE Harry Potter and I know what you mean, it would be nice to see it with someone else. Can't make it the Friday night but could do any time on the Saturday. My 2 are too little to come (they'd stay home with HP-hating Daddy) so you'd have to trust that I'm not a big hairy stalker.

ETsmum · 11/11/2005 21:30

Oooooo Had just about given up on this thread. Thanks for posting Oliviab. Sat might be poss, but it'd probably have to be the eve as we were hoping to go to brighton on the 26th.....how would that suit you? Don't know what time it's showing yet but will try the Odeon site again in a few days. If your still interested, can you CAT me? Jut thinking you don't know me and I don't know you, so thought it'd be nice to exchange a couple of emails 1st?

And if anyone else sees this and is interested, feel free to post here/CAT me.

Oops have arranged to go the following Tues with some other friends now, sorry ET's mum but I think you should go anyway, even if you're on your own, it's still a treat isn't it?
FYI It's on every half hour at Odeon Leisureworld that weekend.

ETsmum · 20/11/2005 09:33

Don't worry Oliviab And I'll still be going - thanks for the info on the timings. Sounds SO much better than here - we get 2/3 showings a day and the cinema is pants.

I love going to the cinema on my own, there's a Haagen Dasz cafe at Leisure World and jumbo-sized jelly sweets too so do eat lightly before you go

RainbowWalker · 21/11/2005 10:12

I'm also in Hedge End. Thinking of going to see HP but my children are staying with their Dad that weekend and I'd feel way too guilty to go without them! . Would love to meet up some other time though.

ETsmum · 21/11/2005 11:39

Hey Oliviab, thanks for remeinding me about the Haagen Dasz cafe - another thing we don't have at home

And Rainbowwalker, sure I can't presuade you? Imagine an eve out WITHOUT the children (I might even buy you Haagen Dasz!
