Oh no Bibbity. I am so sorry about your dad, that must be awful Sad. It is a shame you're nt coming.

bibbitybobbityhat · 21/03/2011 20:14

Gee thanks guys Blush.

Amazingly, I have just been on the phone to stepmum. Ddad had his big follow-up-to-chemo-post-ct-scan-and-future-prognosis appointment with his oncologist today and things are looking a tiny bit cheerful.

His lung cancer has halved in size following chemo and they are planning to treat the secondary in his hip (which is causing him a lot of pain) with radiotherapy in the next fortnight ... and after that they are saying he will probably be feeling pretty well for at least 3 or 4 months.

Which is more than we were hoping for, and means we can plan some nice family occasions/fun days out/meals and drinks together (his absolute favourite thing) for the summer with him actually feeling well enough to enjoy them all.

This is a lot better than stepmum and I thought it would go Grin.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 21/03/2011 20:25

That's pleasing news bibbity. You must feel comforted by that phone call. How lovely to come of the phoning with almost a sense of looking forward to the next few months. Smile

methodsandmaterials · 21/03/2011 20:36

That's really good news bibbity. Glad you're feeling better tonight.

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/03/2011 20:37

I am glad bibbity. That is a (small) comfort at least.

FellatioNelson · 21/03/2011 20:41

Well then you are quite right - should be spending all your free time enjoying your lovely dad for the next few months and not hanging out with us raddled old bags. Wink

methodsandmaterials · 21/03/2011 20:43

Hey! Who are you calling raddled?

FellatioNelson · 21/03/2011 20:46
