Any Mums in Leamington Spa/Warwick/Kenilworth?

Hi, I'm 36 and have just had beautiful DS (12 day's ago) Looking for Mums to meet and chat with in my area. I also have DD of 13years but would love to meet other 'new' mums too.

Know this is a very proper area but don't really fit the mould - my DP lives and works in London and I'm up here at Warwick Uni. Guess I'm rather 'arty' and into alternative therapies etc - not exactly 'new age' though! I'm into environmental issues - using cloth nappies for little one etc - love gardening but don't get a lot of time and my great release is going for a long walk, preferably up a nice steep hill! something DD absolutely hates - like all self respecting 13y olds!!

Any like minded Mums out there? Please get in touch

Hiya im in birmingham so thats not too far from leamington.

Ive got a 3 yr old ds and an 18 month old ds. Im at college at the moment doing the second year of my access course. was thinking of applying to warwick uni next year as well as birmingham.

I like arty stuff and reading, couldnt be doing with the cloth nappies though, my washing pile is huge enough

Hiya Cabe - I'm sort of right in the middle of the Leamington/Warwick/Kenilworth triangle, and once upon a time was at the University too. Don't fit the 13 year old/newborn profile though - ds is 4 - but he does like going up hills (and skiing down them!).

We have fairly regular meetups in the Solihull area - which usually means somewhere between Warwick and Leamington - if you're interested in doing that (I can do lifts if you're anywhere near me). And there will probably be a Midlands Christmas meetup too.

Hi Huggybear and LunarSea

Lovely to know there's others like me not far away!
What are you hoping to study Huggybear? Warwick is a lovely campus - I'm doing Sociology/Social Policy and the department is absolutely terrific - sitting my second year again as was pulled out of exams when I ended up with pleurisy during the easter revision period and was unwell for weeks, that was after getting over the morning/afternoon/evening sickness!!!

LunarSea - doubt if I could make an evening meet-up just yet(had a peek at the meet-up link), very impressed that your DS can ski at four! he must look charming in all the gear. Will keep an eye on the Solihull meets to see if there will be a window of opportunity.

Thanks for making contact both - Cabe xxx
