Can someone tell me are mumsnet taking over the entire basement? if so, I wonder if we can decide how loud the background music is?

Also, can we use the adjacent bar area if we don't want to stay in our seats later on?

Coathanger · 15/11/2005 22:08

Okay...

Is anyone else absolutely cr@pping themselves??
I refuse to chicken out and I will be there even if I am dragged kicking and screaming by Blueteddy! But I am so scared....

I don't even know what of!!

And are jeans acceptable if worn with a slinky top??? Oh, and pointy boots??

So when everyone hears the screaming banshees, its just us!!

hatstand · 15/11/2005 22:13

did I say something to someone about going on the train via wimbledon? I think they were travelling from Esher and had laready made plans to meet some people at Wimbledon - I'm coming from Surbiton. I'm a bit of a f/w when it comes to remebering names sorry? ring any bells anyone?

What you wearing BT? Do you think jeans are okay?

No idea BT! Probably jeans and boots but i want to see if I can purchase a new top. Going shopping tomorrow so will be looking then. Something sparkly and flouncy and not too pricey....

Will do! It won't be too amazing. I don't want to bring attention to myself. I promised I would lose a few pound before the night but it ain't happening! My fault entirely - I don't have the inclination to diet right now, far too much on my plate

Coathanger · 15/11/2005 22:24

Sorry everyone! Just realised we have kind of hijacked this thread.

Anyone else nervous as hell?

We are taking over basement...

Hooray, no kittens in pink boas then.

Unless any of you...[scared emoticon]

tigermoth · 16/11/2005 07:35

anorak, phew indeed

Earlybird · 16/11/2005 07:54

Not giving up yet, but am having trouble finding a babysitter.....will persevere.

piffle · 16/11/2005 08:02

I'm definitely doing nice jeans, nice top and boots.
Far too chilly for any other nonsense LOL

Caligula · 16/11/2005 08:41

pmsl at Tigermoth wondering how loud the speakers are going to be.

But quite right, I don't want to be drowned out by loud music... can't hear yourself think... can't have a conversation... can't hear the words of the songs anymore... in my day songs had a tune... and the singers had proper haircuts, not like these scruffy ones nowadays... [old fart icon]

I'm getting a blue rinse done especially for the occasion.

unicorn · 16/11/2005 09:06

don't forget your twinset and pearls Caligula!

Wouldn't it be funny if you all found out that you are all, in fact, big hairy truckers out looking for a shag?

serenity · 16/11/2005 13:22

I am.

Honest, guv

piffle · 16/11/2005 13:24

I'll not be hairy, I'm getting waxed next week
