Frightfullyposhfloss - sorry not to reply sooner, computer crashed last night just as I was about to respond.
Anyway I'm in N1. Is that anywhere near where you are off to. Someone to travel with, home preferably, would be fantastic.

FrightfullyPoshFloss · 17/10/2005 23:02

Hi Posey, I'm out in Barking. Not sure where N1 is but I'm guessing it's not too far out!! What tube station would you need just to give me some idea? I'm out in Barking.

Tortington · 18/10/2005 11:28

SEND £5 DEPOSIT CHEQUES TO:
Mumsnet
PO Box 657

ooh am i too late??
im new but love it already ( only been here a week and already addicted)

is it ok if i come along too? not sure when where or how much but hey im single and the last time i went out was to give birth so really think i deserve it.

can i have the details if im allowed to join in.

Posey · 18/10/2005 20:15

FPF - I'm in Islington so the nearest tubes are Angel or Highbury and Islington.
Whereabouts in Barking are you? Dh lived there for years and I spent many a happy morning in the (then) new Vicarage Fields, evenings at the cinema, the Spotted Dog and a curry place right by the station! Now haven't been there for about 12 years.

FrightfullyPoshFloss · 18/10/2005 21:46

Posey, the cinema is now a trendy block of flats! We live not too far from the station, just down from the spotted dog, although we don't drink there, as Dp spewed his guts up after going there once, blaming that all important 'dodgy pint' out of the dozen or so he drunk....

spidermama · 18/10/2005 21:48

Ah! The 'dodgy pint'. I remember those.

FrightfullyPoshFloss · 18/10/2005 21:55

It's always when you've had a few more than normal isn't it? Most odd.

Tortington · 18/10/2005 23:18

We have to send money? Sorry Custy. Haven't looked at this thread for a while as thought I was all confirmed and sorted- doh! Will sort it out asap.

Ailsa · 19/10/2005 11:17

hotel thread

HRHWickedwaterwitch · 19/10/2005 21:33

I'm sorry but I'm dropping out for various complicated reasons. Happy to pay the deposit anyway though if it will leave anyone out of pocket.

Heathcliffscathy · 19/10/2005 21:35

www

hope everything is ok.

any chance of dropping back in at some point?

i keep keep keep meaning to send my cheque and will do so tomorrow i promise...otherwise i'll keep posting that i haven't on here until i'm shamed into doing so

Tortington · 19/10/2005 22:11

i'll have your name up in a shop window sophable

WWW very bad news that you can't come

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 20/10/2005 10:22

WWW

Hope you change your mind

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 20/10/2005 10:44

Can I ask a silly question about the deposit? Does the £32.50 include the deposit that's already taken off (and therefore the meal is £37.50) or will it come off the meal on the day for everyone there (and therefore the meal is £27.50 ish) or have I completely missed the point and the deposit and the meal aren't connected.

Appologies if this has been dealt with already, am sleep deprived and up to my eyeballs in grumpy children and wee soaked laundry

spookyserenity · 20/10/2005 12:41

I think....MN towers are keeping our cheques intact until the meal and will hand them back if we turn up. They will only be cashed if we say we are coming and then don't turn up. I think!

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 20/10/2005 12:54

Oh I see - thanks serenity

that makes sense

Aero · 20/10/2005 12:59

craaaaaaaaaaash.............needless to mention a late night out Countess!!

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 20/10/2005 13:07

yes, and even later that you think sadly Aero! Thanks fr last night. It was fun

Aero · 20/10/2005 13:11
Smile
tigermoth · 20/10/2005 23:57

HRHwww, what a shame! was really looking forward to seeing you

RainbowWalker · 20/10/2005 23:59

Can't make it now unfortunately - childcare problems... so if anyone wants my place there's one going.

Really gutted - I was quite looking forward to meeting all you mad MNers!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/10/2005 00:04

did not post a cheque...my walk of shame starts here.
