I seem to remember there are a few mumsnetters in East London, it would be nice to meet some of you. (am feeling jealous with all the other London meet-ups!)
Anyone interested?

Well, Dinosaur, it's not really fully decided yet, let's just have a roll call first and see who can come when.
So Who can make it Monday 22 September, and who can't, and who would prefer a week-end meet?
I can make it 22/9, but don't mind if we do it on a week-end (don't mind grumpy DPs either, just let them grump if that's what they want to do! )

22nd good for me - dd at school but i'll still come along - i don't mind if its week or wkend though

mammya · 03/09/2003 00:50

From re-reading trhough the posts, I make it that: Hoxtonchick, Bells2, Scottiebabe, Bundle and myself can make it on the 22nd; Dinosaur would prefer a weekend meet. That leaves Kid, Rainbow, and Queenie who haven't said what they'd prefer.

Yep, I'm OK with the 22/9 as dd can miss playschool for 1 afternoon.

Queenie · 03/09/2003 14:40

I've just gone into the Farm's website to check their location (as would probably come by train)and it says they are closed on Mondays!!??

hoxtonchick · 03/09/2003 18:32

You are so right, Queenie! I don't work on Mondays, & every week i think, oh let's go to the farm & then remember we can't. What does everyone think of the Tuesday that week, or we could still do Monday but change the venue?

bells2 · 03/09/2003 20:55

I could do Tuesday but also wouldn't mind a weekend.

scottiebabe · 03/09/2003 20:55

How about Victoria Park then if farm closed or museum of childhood?? just a suggestion ??

scottiebabe · 03/09/2003 20:55

or change the day of the week!! i don't mind which - will go with majority

Queenie · 03/09/2003 21:07

Yeh, I'm easy really and can fit in with whatever is suggested - making myself sound rather dull with no other "engagements" but there you go my diary at this precise moment has many, many "windows"!!

Oh dear, OK, so should we stick to same date but museum of childhood or Victoria Park? I like the museum of childhood, and that means if weather is rubbish, it won't matter. How does everyone else feel? Let's just check it's not closed on Mondays...

OP posts:
hoxtonchick · 03/09/2003 21:56

Museum of Childhood is closed on Fridays... I think we should go there, on the Monday. We can always adjourn to Victoria Park if the kids are boisterous.

mammya · 03/09/2003 22:12

Sounds good to me! So, everyone, what do you say?

OP posts:
Queenie · 04/09/2003 10:31

Sounds great to me - 22/9 at the Museum of Childhood.

hoxtonchick · 04/09/2003 11:28

See you all there! What time?

mammya · 04/09/2003 21:10

morning or afternoon? I prefer morning, but will go with the majority. I suggest 10am, what do you think?

OP posts:
scottiebabe · 05/09/2003 10:35

10 am sounds good to me but then i am only 5 mins from the museum :0

hoxtonchick · 05/09/2003 10:36

10 is fine with me.

kid · 05/09/2003 10:39

Sorry everyone, I haven't been checking this thread as no-one seemed to have replied at the beginig, I log on today and its all go!!!
I work on mondays and tuesdays, so I wouldn't be able to make it
Will keep my eyes open for another meet up though

Queenie · 05/09/2003 15:48

Right, 10 am it is - if I'm not on time it's the trains fault and those commuters trying to kick me off with a buggy!! Will we meet at the entrance or inside?? If I'm late go on without me and I'll catch you up. I'll be the flustered, dishevelled one from the tube journey - ha ha!!

Shall we meet at the cafe area? That's inside.

OP posts:
scottiebabe · 05/09/2003 19:28

10 am in the cafe area then

Queenie · 05/09/2003 22:01

Thanks dinosaur, will have to plan ahead then with buggy, 11 month old and almost 3 year old in tow. Wish me luck.
