Travelodge have a £26 per room offer on but you can't book the room more than 8 weeks before. Which Travelodge is the closest?

Nextdoor sounds great to me! It's £45, but included breakfast.

I think Wedgiesmum and someone else, (possibly Katzguk?), were thinking of staying over rather than driving.
