Due Dec 2010 London meet-up in September

It looks like sometime after Sept. 12, daytime if QoD can make it, and can we please do a weekend? My work looks to be sending to Aberdeen a fair amount. And I can't really predicte the schedule much in advance. And of course I would just hate to miss a meet-up, so if we could do Sat or Sunday, that would be great... But, Lavita I'm not sure if that worsks for you with your work schedule.

My favourite reasonably priced restaurant is Patara (Thai food), but probably not suitable if we are bringing kids (I'll probably leave mine at home because we might discuss pregnancy stuff not really suitable for 7 year old ears). But, for kid friendly, I am thinking somewhere more like Rainforest, which is not exactly cheap so quite happy if someone else has a better idea).

Discuss please, Ladies...

I can do anytime from 1630 on a Friday to 1900 on a Sunday until we move. after 12 Sept is better for me as well. Will possibly bring DD as it gives DH a break as he has had her all week on his own and gives him time to work on caravan.
I have a book at home with family friendly places in it so will see if there are any suggesstions.

Hiya!

I haven't been posting much on the Dec thread, but just signed on a minute ago, went to the last page and saw this link.

Am much better in person anyway as I can't keep up with you lot! What a great and friendly thread - I only wish I were online more often. :)

Would love to meet up with you and am fairly flexible as to where. I'm located in Bayswater/Notting Hill, but don't mind a bit of a journey.

Only stipulation is that I will be away until September 14th. No need to reschedule if you decide to meet up earlier than that, but if not, count me in.

I hope you all have a great weekend - am off early tomorrow for a short holiday until Weds. Will check back then.

xx

So, I think we have narrowed it down to after the 14th, but not the 18th. How about a late lunch (kiddies welcome) on the 25th. I say late lunch because I think kids are better tolerated when it's not the middle of the lunch rush hour. Am thinking 2:00ish if that suits others?

If the above is all okay, then we just need a place. Any ideas?

Hi can I join too please if it's going to be somewhere fairly central. Could probably leave dd with dh but if you are bringing your dd MrsS, maybe I should bring her? Sometimes it's easier if there's someone else to play with!

MrsSnaplegs · 21/08/2010 12:10

Late lunch is good for me - tend not to want to get dressed until after 1100 on a Sat anyway Grin I will bring DD if others are bringing there LOs.

Strix · 21/08/2010 12:21

Should we list children's ages so we can all gauge if ours will have playmates?

Mine (whom I wasn't planning to bring but might if everyone else is) are:

DD, age 7
DS DS1, age 5 (I have to call him DS1 now that there is a pending DS2 Grin)

MrsSnaplegs · 21/08/2010 13:50

DD1 - will be just 5 but very forward socially for her age - can sometimes "swamp" others with her enthusiasm (in simple terms she's a bit of a bossy boots know it all Grin)

emmaxmas · 23/08/2010 08:05

25th Sept good for me!

Page62 · 25/08/2010 08:58

You would have found out if you had shown up for horse riding in July. [sticky tongue out emoticon]

Back to the original thread topic...

What about The Big Easy in Chelsea. Seems to have something for grown ups and kids... although not hugely veggie friendly. There's a few veggie dishes, but not a lot. Do we have any veggies? I am definitely a meat eater so not a problem for me. But, thought I should check about others.

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 26/08/2010 12:03

Looks good to me - not veggie so not an issue!

Strix · 09/09/2010 23:42

So, is everyone still in for the 25th, Big Easy in Chelsea?

I haven't been on the thread much because work and moving have been absolutely crazy. I am now in Aberdeen Tues-Fri for the forseeeable future. Not ideal as i enter the third trimester. But, hey ho... it is what it is. Better than having nothing to do I suppose.

Anyway, in spite of my thread silence, I am still up for this. Just need a count of who else is coming so I can book a table.

OP posts:
emmaxmas · 13/09/2010 15:04

yes, I am still up for this, count me in for 25th Sept

Strix · 13/09/2010 16:08

It's sort of looking like it might be just the two us... I can't remember where you are, Emma... Kingston?

OP posts:
Strix · 15/09/2010 12:54

Hmmm... this is not looking overwhelmingly popular. Sad

Hi... just saw this... I am in! I will be possibly travelling next Sat/Sun (September 25th and 26th) but if I am around I will join! I will know if I am in town or not by September 20th and will pop back to say yay or nay but hope to be able to join....

MrsSnaplegs · 15/09/2010 15:23

I'm still in - can't do this Sunday but most other times are fine.

Strix · 16/09/2010 10:15

ok so are we still on for the 25th then? Can we copy and paste a name list of those who can make the 25th?

25th:
Strix (and DD 7, DS 5)

I'm happy to change the date if people cannot make 25th. Why is Lavita not on the list?????

OP posts:
93pjb · 16/09/2010 21:24

Strix (and DD 7, DS 5)
93pjb ( and DD 2.7)

Strix · 20/09/2010 13:24

Should we pick a different date?

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 21/09/2010 13:19

umm I can still make it (plus DD 5.0)

emmaxmas · 23/09/2010 08:33

25th still fine for me. Sorry haven't been on for ages- super busy with work.

Strix · 23/09/2010 13:01

Oh F*ck... bloody dance practise. I swear that activity owns me. DD has a mandatory practise for an upcoming show on Saturday afternoon. No way I can appear in Chelsea (or anywhere). Damn damn damn...

So sorry, but have to back out. I totally understand if others want to proceed without me. I really am hacked off with the dance schedule / cost. It's just one more thing I have to do for someone else. Not that DD is lovely and worthy of all this. But, I just want to F'ing sit down for 10 minutes oh I don't know once a bloody week. Angry

OP posts:
Strix · 23/09/2010 13:02

oops

Meant to say "Not that DD isn't lovely and worthy of all this."
